Dunno I've had 2 'naturally' and would like to do a 3rd but an emergancy CS scares the life out of me more than anything. I would rather if my pelvis twisting makes delivery a bit suspect just have a nice planned CS at 38 weeks. I know a woman who had similar twisty problem to me wanted a vaginal birth so they said fne we will see how you go and baby got stuck, they actually had to break her pelvis to get baby out. Both OK thankfully but 9 years later she still has mobility and hip problems and has the onset of early arthritus. She isn't even 35.

  • TMI moment

Have you had any luck with this? I am only 20 weeks and have been waking up every morning for the last week with strong Period/IBS style cramp pains, then needing to evacuate bowels but not diawoowoo. I have had sore tummy muscles all day every day since this started. my mum suggested Braxton hicks but I didnt have this with DD and it doesnt come and go its pretty much constant and uncomfortable. Spoke to GP, she just said stretching and bubs in odd position..... but bubs is tiny at the moment so dont see how that works out. Hohum.
    Morning all!
I had this too this morning! (sorry for the TMI so early in the day..)
The main pain is a little to the left of the right hip bone, just under where the bump begins, but also sometimes on the other side. This morning it was quite over all and uncomfortable - just had to get up and use the loo!
Also I've been getting it the last few days when I've been on the bike in exactly the same place - like a stitch. Yesterday it was really painful - had to go down to crawling speed as any bumps in the road were making it worse!

Spaghetti & Tickle - I get that, mostly in the mornings, I've always put it down to babys weight and shifting position...started happening when I get up from sitting down too, again I'm assuming it's babies weight?!?!?!
    tigtag02 wrote: »
fuzz - how long does the pain last?
Not long..at the most 5 mins or so

OK well bubs is on it's way downwards from what I can work out...my bump is getting lower by the day:j:j Oh and on it's journey it's decided to give me another stretchie or 2:eek: lol serves me right for being smug for so long eh!?:p:rotfl:

Hope alls well with you fatties...DM11 good luck for scan today and congrats Nic...scan pic is sooooooo cute:)

Thanks Fuzz. Just noticed too how mine and Teenies scan looks identical. I've comparing it to my other kids scan pics and they're all so different.

I'm also dreading the thought of having a c/s. I've 2 relatively easy natural births but you never know. I think it's the spinal Injection that freaks me out. But that story of the poor woman having to have her pelvis broken has freaked me out even more. I can't even imagine having to go through all that

I think that is the bit that freaks most people out to be honest, but it is so quick, and not painful, and you are so busy thinking about other stuff that I honestly believe it is the thought of it rather than the actual having it that is the worst :o

emsy I wouldn't mind so much but its not like I have much choice, it has always been on the consultants advice to have a section and I've happily gone along with their advice. I don't think medways stats are too bad either so they aren't c-section happy like some hospitals.

Tinks and lilac I do not envy you having to try and make the right decision for you, the thing is no one knows the consequences either way till it happens. Incidently tinks my sister suffered very badly with SPD with both her pregnancies and has severe pain now over 2 years later and she had c-sections. But her first was 11lb 5 so his weight did not help her pelvis much, then she had the second 15 months later and should have left it longer. I hope it all works out either way for you both and you get your pelvis back to normal afterwards xx

    duemarch good luck today x

Thanks 2girls. I have the benefit (or curse) of havng a madwife for a mother in law so OH thinks he is an expert on all things childbirth. Can i have a roll eyes smily. She wants me to demand a CS and not risk vaginal, I heamorrage alot, have quick labours/births and delivering at home far far to risky so thats pushing OH. Last time despite being prepared for bleed out i lot 2 litres so i would be in mega trouble delivering at home. Oh is driving me up the wall though. If my pelvis is ok I want an induction if not just cut me.

Merfe I forgot you were Medway :D I might go there, cos at Maidstone..........
    • Left it til 34 weeks before they decided I could not have water birth, so offered mobile monitoring.......
    • at 35 weeks told that mobile elads broken, so offered TENS machine as genture of goodwill........
    • Went to get TENS yesterday at 36 weeks, and told they have lost several parts so cannot lend me one!!!!!!

All this nearly made me cry yesterday, so told Mr Scrummy I was tres unhappy bout Maidstone, and he basically said that Maidstone/Pembury/Medway are on a constant state of divert, so who knows where I will end up

In the last 30 days, Maidstone has been on divert 42 times, Pembury 21, and Medway 14 :rotfl:
