    Good afternoon everyone!

I need your moneysaving advice... I need to know how to maximise my discounts etc from Mothercare:

My friend will be assisting me with a Employee Discount Card (20% off I think), but there are all sorts of other % off online/quidco/baby plan/signing up to newsletters. My brain has stopped working properly and I am a little lost.

(I am looking at getting the Linear Freeway + crib + cot + a few extras)

    Anyone with experience?
can her discount be used online? If it can I'd go order everything online coz then you can get cashback etc;)
If not then get your friend to sit down with you and go through all the vouchers...or if you like list the vouchers here and we'll try and help you figure out the best way to do it :)

As for the Asda event.....our Asda must've been attacked, there wasn't much there tbh but think they hadn't got round to restocking shelves! I also got teh huggies pack for £3:) If you print out the voucher I posted yesterday you get the 1st box for £1 and then get the vouchers out again and go back for the 2nd box for £1...hubby thought I was mad:o:p:rotfl:

Currently making myself sick by helping my brother book his holiday next year....he's only going to flaming Auckland..the little scronk!:( I wanna go too!

MV bump is coming along nicely:) will have to try and remember to do a bump pic tonight before I go to bed...I'll never get one done otherwise lol
    1.11.09 - debt = £45k:eek:
    [STRIKE]Car Loan = £0[/STRIKE] CCCS Total = £30,246.88 Total Debt Paid off - 32.78%

  • Legs if I had the skill and time to make you a patchwork quilt, I would hon!

That was a present, and I can't even begin to imagine how long it would take to make as it's huge!

Love the bump MV, it's a lovely shape. I have a little one now, so am getting over my jealousy :rotfl: Someone actually asked when I was due this morning, so I must look pregnant at last.

Crazytink, that sounds odd! I guess fluid retention would explain it, although I've never had it, so couldn't really say.

Crazy Tink, sounds like fluid retention to me. I get similar - indents on my feet from shoes are particularly attractive. I also had to take my rings off from 16 weeks as my fingers puffed up too. I was told to keep wiggling my ankles and raising feet whenever I can.

    MV It's okay, I understand.:p I can go without.
  • Was feeling all chuffed with myself until I emailed it to my mum to show her what a big girl I am, and she rang me straight away to say I was missing a baby bath. Well i haven't decided how I am going to bath the baby yet so hadn't put it on purposedly but gggrrrrrrrr  she annoyed me. I cannot talk to her about anything baby related at the mo without her getting my back up.

You do not need a baby bath, I bathed my two in the sink with a towel over the taps, then in the bath when too big for the sink.

    Birth plan A

    Home water birth
    G&A

    Plan B

    Hospital water birth
I refuse point blankly to lie down for monitoring (I know you can do mobile monitoring, please don't fob me off)
No episiotomy, No forceps, No vontous.

If you feel intervention is a must then I will be requesting a C-section.

Emsy maybe you need to do this too.

They don't read the birth plan unless you say HAVE YOU READ MY BIRTH PLAN?

With my first I didn't want students (8 strangers staring at your foof while you try to push the baby out) the first person to visit me was ... a student.

Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x

re:baby baths, OH takes Squeak in the shower!

He puts it on very gently and the right temperature, gets in then I pass her to him, I wash her hair (she's still got it all:D)he washes her then passes her back to me where I'm waiting with a towel and I dress her. The skin to skin is nice for them, plus it keeps her warm and you can see she enjoys it :)

You need to be confident though or they pick up on the tension!

Sorry, I'll stop taking the thread hostage now :o:o:o
