lilian I have seen loads of bath supports at car boot sales, might still be some indoors ones going. The one we used was plastic so easy to dettol and chuck boiling water over. I haven't bought one yet because I'm not sure if I sold DS or if its lurking around in the loft or garage, OH is still being a pest about getting everything sorted. Or Asda do one but its £8, half the price of mothercare but still more than I want to pay. Keep an eye on netmums too as I think I've seen them on the nearly new board

With the bottles in hospital as well, mine always provided them but I've heard that they will not be from 3rd dec, I'll have to check this with the midwife but I am tempted not to take anything in anyway, besides I might have had mine by then if I'm lucky.

I think thats the one I had. It was a moulded piece of foam. It was pretty cheap.

So does a bath support get used in the normal bath - so no need for a baby bath? Can it be used from newborn?

MV - Impressive bump!! Coming along nicely :)

I tell you what you ladies can help me with. I'm looking for a pine storage box to put in the nursery for bedding, then toys etc.

Something like this but I don't know if it looks a bit cheap....(it is fairly cheap :))

Thats the one :D Ideal for me as I'd have problems with a baby bath coz of my bad back and the fact I think they're a stupid invention but I don't trust myself with a slippy soapy newborn either:o

exactly, put foam in bath filled with just enough water..plonk baby on the foam and that keeps them in place til Mummys got them nice & clean..then hopefully Daddy will scoop them out and dry/settle them so Mummy can fill up the rest of the bath with boily hot water and have a soak;):D and all the clearing up that needs doing is wringing out the foam:cool:

ETA: dusty have you looked in Ikea?? I know the Leksvik chest is lovely but might be too dark for you..but that one from Tesco looks a bit cheap imo:o sorry:o

Congrats to all the new babies and all the new bumps

I seem to have developed a bump in the past couple of weeks. Must remember to take a picture soon. I've put on weight too, a whole stone :j No wonder I'm feeling so tired if I'm lugging all that extra weight around.

Still sick though, so not all happy here. :(

Started to get either a trapped nerve or a touch of sciatica. Makes for amusing moments when I stand up and find that my legs won't carry me and I end up in a heap on the floor :o Does mean that if my job abroad next week is delayed then I really can't go. Shame that :D

Sure I had other things to say, but my brain has been eaten by the baby, and that combined with lack of sleep caused by a wriggly baby and a fidgety DH means that I'm not fit for much. Think I might have a nap on the sofa for an hour or two. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
If having different experiences, thoughts and ideas to you, or having an opinion that you don't understand, makes me a troll, then I am proud to be a 100% crying, talking, sleeping, walking, living Troll. :hello:

we have this one that I have painted white. It looks a lot better white and it still smells of pine after 2 years. I would take a pic of it but its under a mountain of ironing :o

I think I panicked DH last night:o I had really really really bad period type pains, all the way around my stomach & back and down my legs etc.. so much so I couldn't get up the stairs....he was starting to flap until I did the BIGGEST bottom burp EVER:eek: and it was mostly relieved:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: His face was a picture:D I was pmsl for god knows how long :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Wowee you guys are organised. I'm not buying anything except a new cot mattress and some new baby vests/sleepsuits.
I'm not even buying that lol...

Only thing we're buying is a double pushchair... Well... A single that converts to a double...

With regards to taking formula into hospital... If you plan to breastfeed then I wouldn't take any in with you... If you need help with breastfeeding then it would be better to get support from the staff while you are there than resorting to formula... Plus you're only really there a short time and it's quite possible the baby wouldn't even want a feed in that time... A lot of babies don't want to feed for the first 24hrs...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.
