Chances are DD2 was a different feeder to DD1... Often if they don't seem satisfied then it might be that your positioning isn't as optimal as it could be and the baby isn't getting enough of the really fatty part of the feed to help sustain them...
The other thing to factor is that with a family and a home to keep we often find ourselves too busy to sit down and focus on feeding the baby like we do with the first one and we find ourselves watching the clock during a feed, trying to get them to hurry up and finish so we can get on... Having a big sigh when they decide they're still hungry an hour later... Sometimes we need to just take a step back, remind ourselves that it's a very short time in their / our lives... It will pass, it does get better and who cares if there's 3 days worth of dishes in the sink and the toddler's eating a day old sandwich it found under an arm chair...
Thanks Krystal! I know a lot of it was down exactly to that - wanting her to hurry up and finish so I could get on! we moved house 6 weeks after her birth - which was very traumatic and all I remeber is needing to pack and then needing to unpack, and needing to get DD1 to nursery, and she definitely was nothing like her sister (still is not!) thrawn stubborn little madam :rotfl:. Certainly hope that things will be much easier this time around, DD's are older - should be a real help and NEVER moving house again :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::T, in our house for life at last!
Really nice to 'know' someone you can turn to for advise though! Fingers crossed for no GD for me!

Morning all!
Thought I'd just say hello - not been posting much, but enjoying having a read to see how everyones getting on, and thanks for advice/info etc.
I had my 20 week scan earlier this week - everything was fine, but baby was in quite an uncooperative position and wriggling quite a lot. The scan took about half an hour for them to check everything and the lady even had to get some help in to see if the spine was closed (he had his back pressed firmly against the placenta most of the time). I saw the file later and she'd written "spine seemed closed", but I guess they seemed satisfied with what they saw.
Sorry, my pics are not so good - there's not really even one where we're really sure which blob is which..... but I'll try and copy one in....
She was also having problems seeing what it was and at one point announced that it was a girl - then had to change her mind a few moments later as HE obligingly opened his legs and revealed some dangly bits!!!0 -
OK, not having much luck with the picture....0

Morning ladies
Congrats on team blue, SM :T
Do babies not wear cardigans these days? Neither Matalan, Tesco or Asda had any in when I looked. I have to pop into the city tomorrow, so hopefully Mothercare will have some, but I'd have preferred something cheaper!
MW is supposedly coming to see me today (after cancelling on Monday). She said she'd phone "first thing" to let me know what time, but not heard anything yet. Just as well I don't have any plans to go anywhere today. You can do anything, make anything, dream anything. If you change the world, the world will change.0 -
I think there are all sorts of numptys out on the roads at the mo fuzz, I nearly went into the back of one such numpty last night who thought it was ok to turn left from the righthand lane at a roundabout, idiot. I beeped him which he obviously didnt like cos he slammed on his brakes. Try getting in the right lane grrrr I could have been going straight over and would have gone into the side of the car if I had.
Re weight I've put on 2 stone so far which is not great, been getting hungry again lately so trying to do eggs for breaskfast as they are more filling but just too tired some days. I put on so much with DD and this one is going that way too but with DS just half a stone, I find it frustrating as I need to lose weight anyway so didn't need to put any on. Oh well will try to be so active on my year off work and hopefully drop a fair bit.
Growth scan today yay0 -
Morning Lady Bumps
Fuzz there are loads of nutters on the roads today don't know what has got into people
BB - I have cardies they are from NExt Zara & H & M also we have been knitted lots
So I am still trying to sort out all the nursery stuff people have been so kind in giving us loads & loads of stuff but sorting it all out is taking forever
The good news also is that the nightmare tenant in DH's house has GONE :j:beer::j:beer::j. So we now have vacant possession and are now just waiting for a completion date :j
I have been busy putting maternity clothes on E Bay this am I have loads to sell if anyone is looking for Size 14 let me know I can show you as have only managed to put 3 bits on before I got bored!
I have no idea how much weight I have put on I have only been weighed once and because of my food issues my notes say n ot to weigh me
Good Luck for the growth scan I am having me on the 27th before I see the consultant to discuss my sun roof & options. Fingers crossed I am able to get them to do the section for me as I really don't want to end up like my sister who after having spd with her son and a natural birth is still suffering from SPD 13 years later
Any tips on how I can talk them round???? I know my MW Physio & counsellor will back me up so that is one good thing
Hugs & labour vibes to all those in need.If you can think it........it will happen0 -
Hi folks
Just popping in, been busy knitting to occupy my time. I can't remember who asked me about the mattress topper but I have found it supports my hips much better in bed so I'm actually getting a nights sleep.
Been to the physio this morning and symptoms/pelvis is getting worse even with rest and because I'm not a run of the mill pregnancy and can't wear supports etc that she has recommended that I think about finishing work as it will counterproductive me going back and I will probably end up even more pain and for even longer. She thinks it would be better for me just to manage the symptoms/pain with what I'm doing now.
Personally I'm gutted at the news because I was hoping to go back to work soon even if it was for the last couple of weeks before maternity leave but I need to put myself and the little chap first!
Pah, what a mare!!
Welcome to the newbies and hello to anyone I have missed!
 at DIY sweep instructions!!!
