    Hi folks

Just popping in, been busy knitting to occupy my time. I can't remember who asked me about the mattress topper but I have found it supports my hips much better in bed so I'm actually getting a nights sleep.

Been to the physio this morning and symptoms/pelvis is getting worse even with rest and because I'm not a run of the mill pregnancy and can't wear supports etc that she has recommended that I think about finishing work as it will counterproductive me going back and I will probably end up even more pain and for even longer. She thinks it would be better for me just to manage the symptoms/pain with what I'm doing now.
Personally I'm gutted at the news because I was hoping to go back to work soon even if it was for the last couple of weeks before maternity leave but I need to put myself and the little chap first!
    Pah, what a mare!!

Welcome to the newbies and hello to anyone I have missed!

    at DIY sweep instructions!!!

Back to knitting my blanket :)

I know just how you feel about SPD & work I have been singed off 5 weeks before my Mat leave was due to start due to my SPD I was totally gutted but had to take medical advice and realised that the most important things were me & little madam bump :D
If you can think it........it will happen

Tink, I'm after size 14, will PM you my email address so I can have a look. I don't even know if I need anything yet but could maybe do with a comfy pair of jeans!

  • Morning all...Hope mummies to be and bumpies are all well...Vibes being sent for any impending arrivals.

Over the moon, my little brother is coming home from Afghanistan today (Royal Marine), we were all worried sick about him, but thank god he is safe.

Bit gutted, been told I cant go to the birthing centre, due to my BP being up, and there not being quite as much fluid around the baby as they would like...so Medway Hospital it is for us...hey ho.

Cant believe how close we are now, I am getting virtually no sleep, even wide awake at silly o clock, or I have really bad indigestion when I lay down (Mucogel doesnt even touch it) and then dont get off to sleep till about 4pm..bonus is I get to watch girly films with one of the Mutts and not get whinged at by the OH.
  • Sorry I haven't been more successful uploading scan pics (I do like a nice scan pic myself!)

Basically there was quite a clear one from behind when our "naughty noodle" (like that one! lol) showed his bum and you clearly see 2 parted legs with all pieces of equipment hanging in between!

So, we'll stick with team blue I think - we're also having a hard time coming up with a name, so that cuts it down by 50%!

    Thanks Tink

Head is spinning at the moment and to tell you the truth I'm gutted but I know it will be for the best in the long run.

Morning ladies and bumps (or any chaps)

Lovely evening yesterday, went and picked up my jeans and black chords I ordered from mamas and papas sale , 2 pairs were absolutely perfect, plus tried them with the bump band in the changing room and was almost in hysterics, really good idea tho). Also found a buggy I actually like in there, the Sola, nice and light, folds small, lays flat and faces both ways!! Still got a lot to look at but glad to find an affordable one I like (rather than bugaboo bee)!

Met up with my girlfriends and went round ikea, then got home and maternity jeans I ordered from eBay had arrived and they also fit perfect, so now I am all set in casual trousers for only £26 :)

Oh then got back from the pub having fallen out with his best mate (oh was driving and it was over something silly) so woke me up to tell me all about it :( so sad for him, am sure they'll sort it out but bless he was so upset.

Anyhow, winge over (feel better for that). Thanks for the advice on bf, some really interesting stuff there! Xx

Just thought I'd share that we've bought our travel system - it's this one:

    http://www.boots.com/en/Maxi-Cosi-Streety-travel-system-lifestyle-red_1037337/

Yay! We were supposed to get 20% discount through the parenting club but it wasn't working so they've said to contact them after ordering and they'll refund us - so we'll see. 2000 points as well - yay again!

Totally understand about naming issues. Thought we were sorted until OH came home yesterday and is now saying he has changed his mind and no longer likes the name we have agreed on. Guess were starting over again!

Anyway midwife appointment yesterday was very reassuring and she informs me hospital dont really know what they are on about. Baby measuring small for dates rather than on large side and BP much better.
