Hubby was on facebook last night and saw that a guy who he was at school with baby has been born 15 weeks early, and seems to be doing well, there were photos. The really ridiculous thing is that he was born at 24+5 and as a result they are not entitled to receive HiPG!
:eek:Thats disgusting! Can they not phone up the helpline and ask if they can make an exception?? Can't be the 1st time it's happened:o
So scary! Good to hear baby is doing well:j:j

The HiPG is actually just child benefit from 25 weeks so they'll be getting it really, although people that have babies early (but not as early) get a bonus of having it twice really...

Glad the baby is doing well, that must be super scary!

I am 20 weeks today, halfway... Unless it's as timely as it's sister, in which case I'll get a lovely long wait lol...

Rolled over in bed this morning and my pelvis clicked so loud it made me gasp... Didn't hurt though thankfully... Just shocked me a little...

Who was it that got the memory foam topper? How did you find last night on it? We got a 10cm one a couple of months ago and it really is fantastic, so much nicer on the hips... Plus I find I don't need to roll over in bed so much to ease pressure so don't have the added discomfort of rolling, win win really....

Lilian, the Oyster folds up really small, one of the main reasons we decided to keep it was because the seat unit comes off and it's small enough to fit in a footwell under the baby's seat... When we finally get a car I imagine it will be a very small with a miniature boot...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

well there was no sugar in my urine today, the docs seem really confused about weather to send me to the diabetes clinic or not. Have an appointment with the consultant for at 34 weeks to book c-section date but if I hear from the diabetes clinic to go there and cancel consultant appointment. It is so odd for me to be this far pregnant and not checking my blood sugars 4 times a day. Either way they said he was a big baby and also he is breech, don't think that makes too much difference since I'm having a c-section anyway.

They would have been entitled as 24+5 is the 25th week of pregnancy as the first week is 0 + 5. I emailed the hip people and they confirmed that you are eligable from 24+1 and the last EDD entitled is the 21st of April as the scheme ends 31st December.

(((Hugs))) Gems - I cannot imagine how frustrated you must be feeling. I hope there's room at the Inn tonight!

Dusty - I like that Silvercross one too! But after much discussion, we really need to go with an off roader for our bundle of joy, with good wheels and good suspension. I'm loving the Jane Slalom Reverse at the mo (although I seem to be changing my mind a lot at the mo!) -

I recommend going to a big independent pram store to have a feel. This is what we're planning to do soon (can't wait ;))

I've just got back from the dentist for my free clean and polish :) - I love the exemption card :j:j

GFH - we're nearly 16 weeks. have you booked your MW appt yet? Mine's tomorrow :)

I'm 1 day behind you, mines Monday, I'll be offered the triple test. I still haven't decided, will probably do it in the waiting room, I wish i knew if I had it the 1st time or not.

This is the system we've got for squeak, though we go it second hand. I've got the carrycot which turns it into a lovely pram, and I like it that when we're out and about she's just as cosy as she is at home!

The carrycots can be had quite cheap on ebay, we paid less than £300 for the buggy, car seat (posh lie flat one) and the carrycot!

Plus the frame weighs almost nothing and folds tiny, and unlike most travel systems, it's all terrain lol

That pram does not fold tiny at all! had to take the parcel shelf out of my mums fiesta and a wheel to fit the powertrack in, they are the same size.

MW can't see me til 19 weeks. How do you get the exemption card?
I had a silver cross with DD1 but killed it off-roading.
