Gems - Huge Labour Vibes Hope you make it into the hospital today :)

I had a tens machine when I was induced for DD it helped a lot as all the pain was in my back like period pain.
If you can think it........it will happen

    QUESTION -

To all the ladies past & present that have have a sun roof -

Are they really that bad???? How do you feel ? Would you out of choice have one????

So many questions going on in my head to sort out before I see my consultant........

My Physio thinks that my SPD & having a epidural will not be a good idea as I may do more damage as I won't be able to feel the pain of my pelvis.......MY MW suggested induction @ 37 weeks so that baby is smaller........Or just to ask for a Sun roof from the outset......

(An epidural is my only pain relieft option )

Any help or advice would be great. Thanks
If you can think it........it will happen

That pram does not fold tiny at all! had to take the parcel shelf out of my mums fiesta and a wheel to fit the powertrack in, they are the same size.

Fitting the pram in the boot was a big issue with us as we have a Ford Puma so the Babystyle Oyster was perfect - it packs down very small and the wheels even pop on and off to create more space.
I had to go for scan to see if this naughty baby is still breech and its not - hoorah :T Not breech or back to back anymore - whoo hoo. Lovely news for you.:T
Oh and Bizzy babies called today to offer me a tens machine to try - anyone got any experience of them??? Mine is arriving on the 9th (the "Elle") so will compare notes later:D
Fingers crossed for Gems sending labour vibes for a quick and easy birth for us all to be jealous of :D
What she said. Hope you had a good night's sleep after all that.
  • Welcome & congrats Bella:) whats your EDD and I'll add you to the list :D

Gems really hope you got a bed today and if you did.....GOOD LUCK x

    Morning all :D

Gems I hope it's all going on for you now, it must be awful waiting about :o

Told yesterday I cannot have my waterbirth..............and that I need to be monitored closely, therefore will pretty much be bed bound...... I had visions of water and space hoppers at the very least :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

so feeling really flat about the birth.....wondering if I should just get an epidural banged in.........I wanted to do it without, but I have been told my mobility is going to be severely restricted, so I can't see me doing it au naturel :(

My mum and doula are coming over this morning to talk it through with me, as I am running out of time, and now need to scrap the birth plan

Additionally, I have been told my chances of needing another c/s are increased, so all in all not really looking forward to the next few weeks :o

Can't comment about the pushchair but I don't think you can far wrong with any of the silvercross range :D

Cheers Fuzz, there's something about Silver Cross that just says traditional baby pram to me. I was in one of those massive navy blue ones when I was a baby. Wish my mum had kept it though now.

    Welcome Bella

    Good luck today Gems

Mmmm, kinda! Well, I walked up and down the living room with it but was too chicken to fold it properly and change carrycot for seat unit and stuff!:o but OH was playing with it and loved the mechanisms etc It's lovely in claret too...so can spill red wine on it:D

As for me....my ebay Kooshies cames yesterday - ooh, exciting :DDo you recommend for newborns? and I have to say..I'm impressed...even DH is gonna have a go with the AIOs:T:T Can easily see me becoming a nappy addict:o:)
I've got 8 different nappies already with 2 more types on the way and not even had baby yet:rotfl: (Got cheque from council incentive scheme for £50 so not spent much) I'll be addicted too:p

Bella Hi and welcome:T Time is weird on here - it seems like you are pregnant forever and then suddenly you are in 3rd trimester and wondering where the time went:eek::p

Yeah if you've got a chunky newborn they'll be fab but if you've got a long skinny one probs not so good as I don't think they'll go small enough...I'm expecting a long one I think:o But I'll soon fatten it up:p:D Plus we're using disposables til we've got used to actually having a baby:D
I'm trying to up my collection to get to £50 so I can get the £25 cashbakc but it's proving difficult:o I'm upto £37 and if I buy anymore nappies I think DH will lose it:rotfl: Think I'm gonna wait til bubs is here now and see how we get on with them:)
