    QUESTION -

To all the ladies past & present that have have a sun roof -

Are they really that bad???? How do you feel ? Would you out of choice have one????

So many questions going on in my head to sort out before I see my consultant........

My Physio thinks that my SPD & having a epidural will not be a good idea as I may do more damage as I won't be able to feel the pain of my pelvis.......MY MW suggested induction @ 37 weeks so that baby is smaller........Or just to ask for a Sun roof from the outset......

(An epidural is my only pain relieft option )

Any help or advice would be great. Thanks

Have had 2 and happily having a 3rd so can't be all bad, I've always been up and walking around the next day. I fully expect to be doing the school run within a week of my c-section as its a nice walking distance not too far. The thing with an early induction is the risk of emergency c-section, this is something I would not want, people do have good ones buts its also where I've heard the most horror stories. So when offered it with DD but advised I'd probably end up with c-section anyway I just went with the elective, she was 9lb 5 at 37 weeks though so not small.

    Hello ladies and bumps :D

Not been on in a couple of days as it was our 2nd wedding anniversary yesterday and OH took me out straight after work for a surprise evening out so couldn’t get on to catch up with everyone.

MV I definitely wouldn’t worry about keeping the pram and stuff in the house, it’s all superstition. We will have to do the same when the time comes as we don’t have any relatives anywhere near us – not much point storing the pram at my parents as they live 3 hours away and OH’s dad is in Scotland

Ladylegs sending massive turning vibes for you – hope that bubs gets moving and behaves themself in time for arrival!

hngrymummy whats a bit of poo between friends

Welcome Bellabear good to see another graduate on board :)

Gems I properly feel for you. You must be so frustrated with all this :o I really hope they manage to get you in soon so you can get your mummy cuddles – I think you’ve been waiting long enough now. Hope you managed some sleep - Good luck if it ends up being today :)

I went to our local NCT sale on Saturday, it was rammed! There were already about 200 people queuing when I got there which I was surprised about. They had loads of stuff, all very reasonably priced but unfortunately the majority of it was pink or blue there was hardly any green, yellow or cream stuff and as we don’t know what we are having I found it difficult picking bits out :o

I ended up buying just three things 2 fleecy all in one pram suits for £3 (Baby Gap) and £1.50 (Next) and a gorgeous all in one suit which was white and had a dalmation on the front with a dalmation print hat with droopy ears and a little tail on the back for £1.50 :D

Am still suffering with queasy sickness. It had eased off but over the past week it’s slowly started creeping back in again – am taking that as being a good sign that all is well in there although I hope I don’t end up feeling like it the whole way through!

    4weeks today till our 20 week scan – can’t wait :T

Told yesterday I cannot have my waterbirth..............and that I need to be monitored closely, therefore will pretty much be bed bound...... I had visions of water and space hoppers at the very least :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Additionally, I have been told my chances of needing another c/s are increased, so all in all not really looking forward to the next few weeks :o

Have they said what they will be monitoring and why? If it's baby's heart rate, they can do that so you are mobile (if they can be arsed).

Having an epidural increases your chances of an emergency c-section. Though I didn't realise that an emergency c-section doesn't always mean a GA, I thought it did.

Have you looked at anything on NCT website? They have pretty good stuff on reducing interventions.

    Hugs, honey.

grateful if you have an epidural already in place this can often be used for the anesthetic for a c-section in the same way the spinal injection is used, which at least means OH can still be with you and recovery a bit quicker than GA.

Thanks MERFE that was my thoughts about early induction leading to emergency section. So in some ways I think it would be easier to get my head around a section from the outset :o
If you can think it........it will happen

I am due my first elective c-section after two emergency c-sections and i can honestly say i am lookinbg forward to it. No waiting around for contractions to start, no wondering is this it, going to hosp and being told not in labour, no frantic phonecalls to DH.
I am also very optomistic about my recovery time as after my last c- section i was up and about hours later, no need for painkillers or anything.
My last c-section was lovely too, even though emergency, as i had the spinal and was very relaxed, the doctors chatted with me and DH filling us in on exactly what was happening at all times, the whole thing was lovely.
I think too often women are told that c-sections are the worst thing that can happen to you, but they really aren't, a well planned, organised c-section is just another birth experience, no better or worse than any other birth experience.
Also an emergency c-section does not always mean GA that is only if they have to get baby out very very quickly (quite rare).

Plus (my fave bit) no pelvic floor damage!!!!!!!!!
I don't get nearly enough credit for not being a violent psychopath.

    Morning ladies :)

Nothing from Gems since yesterday. I hope this means she got a bed and is well on her way to some well-deserved mummy-cuddles.

I'm 37 weeks tomorrow - eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeekkkkkkkk!!!!!!!! Hospital bags are nearly done, just a few last little bits to go in. I'm renting a TENS machine and had an email yesterday to say it had been sent out, so it should hopefully arrive today or tomorrow. I still need to do my birth plan properly, should have had MW coming round yesterday and we'd have been going through it then, but first she called to let me know they were really short staffed and she'd be late, then got a call to say she'd been called into the labour ward so we've had to reschedule for Thursday.

Flump's being a bit quiet this morning. A few Haribo Tangfastics earned me a bit of wriggling, but I'll have to keep an eye on movements. I'll try a cold can of Coke from the fridge in a bit as that normally kicks off plenty of jigging about :p

I have the Jane Slalom R pushchair that was mentioned yesterday and it's fab :) We haven't actually taken it outside yet though, but reviews I read said it was nice and sturdy and it certainly looks it. I need to have a go at taking the wheels off to see if it'll go in the boot of my Mini (it definitely won't with them on).

I can't remember who said they had a Slalom already, but can I ask a question if you're still around? Does yours have the air-filled tyres and, if so, have you had many punctures? I was reading yesterday that some buggies with air filled tyres are prone to them, which will be a pain if we get one when we're out and about, so not sure whether we need to see about getting some puncture-resistant inner tubes or something.
You can do anything, make anything, dream anything. If you change the world, the world will change.

I'm of the same opinion. Will find out in 9 weeks whether I am likely to need one (placenta slightly covering the cervix) - if they give me a choice I'm going to go for it.
