  • Gems if you're around good luck for this afternoon hun:) I'm sure all will be fine :D
My dad's GF has said that it is bad luck to have the babys pram in your house before the baby is born, does anyone know if this is true??? Dont want to leave my new pram at my dads as he works away alot.
Congrats on Team Pink:j as for the pram...I don't buy into all that..much prefer to be organised and know where everything is;) Besides the only people close to us I'd trust with it is the ILs and MIL smokes so no way am I chancing leaving it there! Bleurgh!

Finally dropped off at 6:15am just to get my fat a$$ out of bed for 7am:mad: Strangely enough though I feel quite rested so far...I'll be shattered by 3pm though:o

Have you got any Kushie/Kooshie nappies in your collection?? Got some of ebay and I'm too impatient to not get an opinion on them:o:D they're AIO's which I didn't think I'd get BUT they're so cute:)

Hope alls well with you lot xx

Maybe its just me, it just feels like a greater responsibility now that its viable to ensure that it has the greatest chance of a good quality of life by keeping it safely cocooned inside for the next four months. Seeing pics of all those tiny little red things in SCBU's fighting for every breath just really freaks me out.

I'm the same - am 24 weeks on Friday which I thought would reassure me but it's basically made me think "oh no what if?"! At least if anything happens after Friday peanut stands a fighting chance rather than no chance at all...

Spent the day clearing out the nursery yesterday, now to paint it and put up the furniture!

Hugs to all, Gems hope your induction goes smoothly today xx

Morning everyone. Good luck to Gems today. Sorry in advance for long rant but i need to get it off my chest.

Had a horrid few days and feeling very hormonal which is quite unlike me. OH was busy most of weekend so looking after both my other children alone - dont think i actually saw anyone else this weekend. Well DD just refused to listen to anything i said ( god help me when she becomes a teenager!) and egged on DS all weekend.

Decided being 34 weeks i should really sort our room out as mosses basket was hidden under washing etc. While doing this DS kindly filled the washing mashine and kitchen drawers with nearly a whole box of washing powder, then went to our room and emptied a whole container of talc over the newly changed bed and floor and in husbands set of drawers. He then went onto his room and proceeded to empty every drawer and toy box in there (which i had tidied the night before!). I was less than ammused! OH got home and asked if i was ok and that was it the flood gates were opened. Poor OH was supposed to be off out to a leaving do but decided it was better to stay home with his sobbing wife - bless him.

Rant over and i still love my kids but sometimes they are a little challenging :)

When did I get so far up the list? I was last for ages!

Well there was the worry about my cervix, but I've been assured its of healthy size and been signed off from any further checks and no need for a stitch. Like I say, its maybe not terribly rational, but now that it has a chance for life, I feel more scared about what that life might be like if it was born too soon.

Anyway, off to bed now as have an early GP appointment to see if I can get a diagnosis/help for what I suspect is SPD.

M-it-3 I'm in almost exactly the same situation as you. had to go to the Prem Clinic at 20 weeks for them to check the viability of my cervix as I had a cone biopsy and LLETZ treatment last year.

When I got there however she didn't even look at me, just said 'I have your notes and the measurements are all fine, we no longer need to see you'..

..which obviously is good news, but I still kind of wished she'd had a look anyway! I still worry that my cervix won't hold for whatever reason, but like you say, every day after 24 weeks is a big step.

    I am 26 weeks today :D

  • Or tell them to sugar off like I do.;)

Goodness MSE is slow this morning.

MV it is nonsense about the pram.

God Bless and keep MV's baby, keep baby safe, and give her a safe delivery.Thank you, Lord. Amen.

There you go, you might think that's mumbo jumbo but at least you have a counter attack to the pram ;)

    Thank you Grateful :Axx
