    YAY!! :j thank you!

I paid £50 eight years ago, and am about to use that "avent" rucksack for the third time, its been through the washing machine loads and still in perfect nick. In boring black, though.

eta just seen the price of lin and leo bags, £140:eek: I thought £50 was a lot:rotfl:and they wouldn't go in the washing machine. OMG I sound like my mother!!

I had that Avent rucksack too, but I gave mine away when we moved last year - because I wasn't having anymore babies! I would not pay that price either - not even for leather - even though I think its stunning! DH would keel over :rotfl: he is very :money:

My pram is also ds's cupboard along with the carseat. The cot bed I dismantled last week is under his single bed I put together for him lol.

I'm not superstitious at all. I prefer to be organised and have everything to hand.

I had to laugh at my mum yesterday who needed a new purse. I had to pay for it for her as apparently it's unlucky to buy your own purse?!? Then when she went home she had to throw it into the house!!! I've never heard of that one. Each to their own though. If it keeps your mind at ease, it doesn't hurt anyone to have the pram etc else where.

Make it 3 - not quite 24 weeks yet, but no, so far I'm not finding things anywhere near as stressful or worrying as the first 12 weeks.

Maybe its just me, it just feels like a greater responsibility now that its viable to ensure that it has the greatest chance of a good quality of life by keeping it safely cocooned inside for the next four months. Seeing pics of all those tiny little red things in SCBU's fighting for every breath just really freaks me out.

Awww try not to watch any TV with SCBU babies! I'm such a pessimist normally but once baby is viable I'll be looking at every day as being a greater chance of everything being fine. Do you have any history that is making you worry?

    I've been Money Tipped!
I dont buy in to this bad luck mumbo jumbo, i mean what if your re-using a pram?
  • Good luck tomorrow Gems, induction isn't all that bad, I've had 3 and this one will be induced too. And I'm totally with you about you only wanting your OH with you, I feel exactly the same.

Oh and I can't wait to get to 24 weeks, hopefully some of the fear and paranoia will start to die down when I am, only 13 more days to go!!

Well there was the worry about my cervix, but I've been assured its of healthy size and been signed off from any further checks and no need for a stitch. Like I say, its maybe not terribly rational, but now that it has a chance for life, I feel more scared about what that life might be like if it was born too soon.

Anyway, off to bed now as have an early GP appointment to see if I can get a diagnosis/help for what I suspect is SPD.

    morning everyone x

    good luck today Gems xx

I don't buy into the pram thing either, if something happens its not because you have the pram in the house. My newest pram is sat in the cupboard under the stairs but I also still have the one I had with my first in the loft which I think I bought at about 20 weeks with her.

Make it 3 I'm not as worried as I was in the first 12 weeks but between 22ish and about 28 weeks I did worry about the baby coming early, I still do now but realise it'd have a much higher chance of being ok now at 30 weeks, so rather than worry about baby now I'm just worried about labour argh I'm so not planned for labour, what would I do if I went into labour eekk. Might have to ask the consultant about it today, I'm all organised in my head for a c-section.

Fingers crossed there is no sugar in my urine this morning.

I'd be questioning your HCPs as to why they are making you get on the scales ladies, I'm sure I read somewhere it the literature I got given its not considered relevant and not routine practice.

Or tell them to sugar off like I do.;)

Goodness MSE is slow this morning.

MV it is nonsense about the pram.

God Bless and keep MV's baby, keep baby safe, and give her a safe delivery.Thank you, Lord. Amen.

There you go, you might think that's mumbo jumbo but at least you have a counter attack to the pram ;)

    Morning Lady Bumps :D

Good Luck to Gems today hope all goes well and that you are getting mummy cuddles very soon. :D

MV - We have our pram in the garage as no where else to out it :o

So it feels wierd not to be going to work :o I started work on the nursey on Saturday and totally did myself in which meant yesterday I could do nothing at all

I have sorted out the New born & 0 - 3 clothes and found a huge differance in NB sizes M & S newborn is only up to 7lb 6oz  all other shops are up to 9LB & some up to 11LB huge difference.

I have DD at home today due to non pupil day at her school. She is a happy bunny as we were given a double bed base for her yesterday and she spent her first night in it last night and has woken up with a huge grin on her face :rotfl:

So does anyone know a good place to get hangers for baby clothes????
If you can think it........it will happen
