I've just chuncked icky bibs, change of clothes in a nappy sack since they are in the bag already and never had a leak either, nappy sacks are so cheap as well.

I've been weighed at every appointment I've had, they have been really polite about it and not said anything about my weight, just made a note in my notes so not sure why they are doing it they never did with the other 2.

Seeing the local consultant tomorrow, had letter through saying GTT was normal but knew that already. It is odd not measuring my blood sugars all the time, I'm still going to try to be careful with what I eat but its harder when you can't see when they are high. It's nice not to have to stick needles in myself all the time though.

So can I justify the radley bag because this is my first and we want 2 kids? :D I don't want to pay more than £50 as that's what the M&P one cost. I might see if mum and dad might get me one for Christmas as there really isn't anything I want this year.

As for raisins and milk etc in my changing bag...I don't think so  I'm a bit of a freak when it comes to gooey things like that. I hate mess. I don't know how I'm going to cope if I have a baby that wants to smear food all over his face :s I was a very clean child and the minute my icecream started dripping, I didn't want it anymore! I know, I'm a freak.

I was exactly the same as a child, and still am, I hate any food that makes a mess, if I get anything out of the chip shop I have to put it on a plate and eat with a fork and knife!

As for the Radley changing bags - who mentioned them first:mad: I love Radley and have quite a few now I want a changing bag! I have 2 already! I got one with my pram, which is really roomy with lots of pockets, and I got my free one from Boots today, which is smaller but nice, I like the spotty changing mat:)

I'd be questioning your HCPs as to why they are making you get on the scales ladies, I'm sure I read somewhere it the literature I got given its not considered relevant and not routine practice.

Thats interesting, I'm weighed everytime I go for an appointment but nothing is ever said just written in my notes.
I've gained about 11lb so far which is I would say is ok as when I was having DD at this stage I'd put on over 2 stone and put on 4 stone in total!

I will worry about the weight once the little fella is here, DH has offered to get me a gym membership afterwards but I didn't know whether to be pleased or outraged! LOL

I am not even going to look at changing bags as I would be very tempted!! Made a list of things we need and there is not alot that we need as we kept almost everything from when we had DD. All is needed is new mattresses, tolieteries and a few clothes.

Hips achy today, my mum mentioned trying a memory foam mattress topper for the bed and before I knew it she had got one and popped it on the bed!! Good old mum. I let you know how I feel after a nights sleep on it.

Also baby seems to love the sound of DD's voice, very time she is talks to the bump the baby kicks like mad. :)

Has anyone had an experience of a Doula? A local girl has offered her services for free as she needs a few more clients/ case studies to complete her qualification. I just need to be happy to fill out paperwork and speak to her mentor.

Ive never thought of one before but my oh lives and works 4 hrs drive away, so I dong think he'll make it time for the birth.
I'm meeting her in a couple of weeks.

Hi Nic I am having doula for this one as I am a single mummy, so DD will be going to my parents, and then the doula will be there for the birth in case KH is not :D

My dad's GF has said that it is bad luck to have the babys pram in your house before the baby is born, does anyone know if this is true??? Dont want to leave my new pram at my dads as he works away alot.

    My mum says the same so I don't have bump's here..........yet :D

I was regularly weighed with DD 8 years ago, but I am never now, I actually ASK even though I have massively overweight as I want to keep an eye on it.......I just though MW was being remiss!! :D

My mum is buying our pram and also says it's bad luck to have it in the house before bubs arrives so we'll be getting it delivered to her house. Xx

Good luck Gems - will keep lurking for news of your new arrival. I ended up being induced with Evie as my hind waters were leaking and I had group B Strep - it wasn't so bad and was quick.
