Morning all.
Thanks for the advice and virtual hugs x x The bleeding hasn't stopped, but hasn't got any worse, so I am going to give it another few hours before I ring the MAU again. I am going to take my DS out to have a little treat this morning, as he has been so sweet with me. DH is in bed, as has been on night shift, so will give him a chance to snooze in peace.
Have a good day all x x
p.s. I am due 6th April x x0 -
It's great that you are feeling baby now
My belly is really starting to move now
I love it. Trying to make the most of it...OH keeps asking me what's wrong because sometimes I just sit in silence watching my belly
What mattress did you get if you don't mind me asking? Well done on your MSEnessI'm still watching the cot everyday and will grab it if it goes back to £180.
While at Centre Parcs I saw a Radley Baby Changing bag in the shop and I love it! They are dead expensive though. I've started watching some on ebay. I wasn't impressed with the Mamas and Papas ones (not enough pockets for my liking). In fact apart from the Radley one I've not seen any that are any better than the boots bag.
Who was it that was asking about going on hols with parents...? I personally wouldn't ever go again. We got treated like kids (we're 30 and 33). Nuff said.
Hungry - you have to look online really. All those highstreet stores sell mat clothes online but not instore...at least not in my storesIt's why I ended up buying a fair bit from M&Ps cos it was the only store I found that stocked them and I can't be doing with sending things back.
Welcome BargainPrincess
Dipsy - I had some bleeding (pink discharge)when I was exactly 20 weeks. It was really scary. I can't imagine what you're going through ((hugs)). I hope you're OK and things have calmed down.
Thanks Giz..it's all very exciting!
We went for the top of the range mattress they do at Mothercare 'with Cool Max and Fresh FX' whatever that means!!! It's pocket-sprung.
Normally £150  but got it for half price with the cotbed. :T
also finally got round to getting my Boots changing bag, haven't opened it yet though, so glad you think it's a goodie!Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0 -
How do you get the boots one again? I've went online and added this baby as my other 2 were too old. Do they just send you a voucher?
Register on the website - you get a voucher in the post. You have to buy a pack of pampers newborn to get the bag. But you also get a £3 off pampers voucher too. So you can get the bag for about 60p if you buy size 1s. I bought size 2s though as I have loads of size 1s already, so it cost me about £3 for the nappies and the bag. :money:2girlsforme wrote: »No I won't be buying one either - and I don't do the lottery so no chance with that either! If this had been my very first then I may have been tempted - but there are no more babies coming out of me!!!
So can I justify the radley bag because this is my first and we want 2 kids?I don't want to pay more than £50 as that's what the M&P one cost. I might see if mum and dad might get me one for Christmas as there really isn't anything I want this year.
As for raisins and milk etc in my changing bag...I don't think so  I'm a bit of a freak when it comes to gooey things like that. I hate mess. I don't know how I'm going to cope if I have a baby that wants to smear food all over his faceI was a very clean child and the minute my icecream started dripping, I didn't want it anymore! I know, I'm a freak.

I have a question about weight (might have asked before - can't remember). I'm 22+4 and was 145lb pre-preg and now 158lb. Does this seem reasonable or too much? My midwife hasn't weighed me since my booking in. I assume she just looks and thinks I look about right? But I'm sure most of the weight gain is chocolate and crisps (I blame work as they introduced a free tuck box 2 months ago). Pre preg I was eating so healthily due to bowel issues, but a lot of my issues were period related, so now I don't have the problem so don't have the same incentive to eat as healthy!Baby Giz born 6/2/110

Has anyone had an experience of a Doula? A local girl has offered her services for free as she needs a few more clients/ case studies to complete her qualification. I just need to be happy to fill out paperwork and speak to her mentor.
Ive never thought of one before but my oh lives and works 4 hrs drive away, so I dong think he'll make it time for the birth.
I'm meeting her in a couple of weeks.:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -
Giz can I recommend you go into a Mothercare and ask one of the girls in there to price up everything you need, and then tell you the best combination of discounts they have available.
We went in with a 10% off voucher I had intending to use that, however the girl in there was so helpful and found a load of additional savings/discounts we could make!
In the end we saved over twice as much as we had originally thought!!
They have a half price mattress offer on at the moment if you buy a cot bed, and a few of the cot beds are reduced themselves so you can get a really good bargain.Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0 -

Morning everyone!! Hope you are all ok.
Well I went to my 20 week scan on Friday and we found out we were team PINK!!!!! I am so excited as deep down I really wanted a girl - Of course main thing was that the baby was healthy. DH got really emotional during this scan, which set me off too. The sonographer must have thought we were both nuts.lol.
Feel so much better now that I know that everything is ok and now we can start getting organised and buying things. I am off work for a week in Novemeber so I am planning to get everything delivered that week so I can get all decorated etc!!
My dad's GF has said that it is bad luck to have the babys pram in your house before the baby is born, does anyone know if this is true??? Dont want to leave my new pram at my dads as he works away alot.

Hi Dipsy, sorry to hear the bleeding is continuing. Hopefully the MAU will do some investigations for you now.
Fuzz Bad Period pains? I detect a queue jumper;) Someone get ready to take over the list.
MV Sounds like you had a very :money:shopping trip :T
Gizmodo I wouldn't worry too much about 13lb weight gain - sounds pretty good to me and gaining around 2 stone (I'm an imperial girl) is the average I think! I'm 36 weeks and put on 3 stone which I will deal with from JAN 1st - no point with Xmas around the corner! Hoping BFing will help me shrink too.
GEMS HUGE labour vibes to you X
Sammy (and anyone on the cheap reuseables mission:p and fed up of the bidding wars on ebay)
Check out thenappysite - some bargain sales updated daily.
I've bought a bundle of newborn nappies/wraps for £15 and some others to try at £2 a pop.
Will let you know what the quality is like.
Right, better get back to the weekend...:wave:0 -
Morning ladies,
Im loving the radley and Il Tutto bags but am very happy with my Antler bag
I work with an ex mothercare superviser and she said there isnt a great deal of difference between cot mattresses and she recomended a sprung one
Had a good chat with DH this am about my "mood swings & hissy fits" I stilll dont think he quite gets that im pregnant so irrational and hormonal at times but I did just say when Im obviously upset a hug goes a long way not a massive lecture and more negativity.
I hope Laurens Ok, been thinking of her as my bust up with DH happened same day as her OH walked off.
welcome newbies :T
Hope its resolved soon for you dipsy.
Will be thinking of you tommorrow Gems *hugs*
Hope you feel better soon Fuzz *Hugs*:heart2:Married 03/09/2005
