Talking of travel systems, will have to start practising putting car seat in and out of car!!
Re inductions I will be having a propess pessary if my cervix isn't ready, in the leaflet it says that this can take 24 hours for it to work. So I'm not sure whether DH should bother coming with me as he will be hanging around the hospital all day, but is a chance I could be ready and go into labour - I suppose I could ring him if things progress but as he is on a temporary contract by missing a day will mean a loss of days pay. Anyone had an induction this way so to know what the best thing is??
A couple of good things with this is that DH can tell his work when he will be off and a big plus is my birthday the week after so I can have a drink!!!!!Thomas born 28/08/2010 weighing 5lbs and 4ounces, small but perfectly formed :j:j Now weighs 19lbs and 5 ounces

Sir, I think they tend to send partners home outside of visiting hours if nothing is happening anyway...
Rach, I think 2 part would be better for you from a drying point of view... If you like, when I next do a load I can hang up 1 each of a tots bots shaped, itti bitti sio and pop in sio and see which dries quickest? the rainbows are terry, the pop ins are bamboo but feel more like terry and the ittis are bamboo but layered differently so they're more cotton feel...A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Sir - I had one with no4, nothing happened for the rest of the day after the pessary was inserted, just monitoring. OH got sent home because visiting hours were over. I went to the toilet about an hour later as i felt funny and was surprised to see that Id had a show - which I never normally do..I demanded an internal , the MW wouldnt ,anyway I got my way in the end ..after all I KNOW my own body ... and I was whisked off to the delivery suite as I was 8 cm dilated.
If your bothered about time then Id say let your OH come in visiting hours after work , it may not even work straight away anyway, and like you say it could be a "wasted day" for him to have off work.
HTH a little
PS My cervix wasnt ready as I was 37 weeks and only went in because my previous labours are extremely quick and i didnt want to deliver on the school run!!0 -
Hi folks!
I don't know, go away for a week and there is a brand new thread!! Its taken me ages to read the past 40 odd pages!
Sorry to hear that so many folks are suffering at the moment - healthy vibes to all in need!!
Congrats Xmas, she is beautiful and such a speedy delivery!
I've been causing trouble whilst on holiday in Norfolk, ended up in A & E last Monday due to spotting and ended up having a scan which showed a small haematoma which was luckily resolving on its own. Bubs was fine though and DD got to see her brother/sister which was nice for her. Wish it had been in better circumstances!
I have a physio appointment for next Thursday because of the pains I'm having in my back and hips (suspected SPD) and I've asked work for a new chair to help with pain and I have been referred to occy health to see if they have got any ideas of how to manage at work. Only 81 days of work to go (not like I'm counting or anything!!), hoping to finish on 17th December when I will be 33 weeks (health permitting) because I've been told I will be induced at 38 weeks.
Going for my 16 week appointment tomorrow so hopefully they will listen to the heartbeat and I'm having my bloods taken for my triple test then I'm off to have another load taken at the hospital for a hospital appointment next Wednesday. It never ends!!Virtual Sealed Pot 2013 #41 - £69.27OJ born 25/01/110 -
Good luck Delain, I know a lovely mw at poole, her name is Debbie!
I could only see it for £2.50 plus postage on the link you gave before - was I looking in the wrong place!
Hope sir m is getting on ok
hngrymummy- does sound annoying with the person at work. I'm v careful who i give my personal mob to at work. I do tend to take calls as much as I can on working from home days as I am always worried they'll think I'm not working otherwise!
smartie- would love to think s/he would move but doesn't seem likely!
Well got handover done this morning, a few actions came from it and I need to expand a few of the notes but feels good to have had the meeting.
Also been to physio, which was really helpful. I def have SPD, though not as severe as some people get it. She gave me a support belt which really helps but is too uncomfy to sit down in, so I guess I can only really wear it if walking a bit. Also gave me some helpful exercises and tips. The good news is that I can still open my legs reasonably well so hopefully it will stay that way.
Although I have to say I am so petrified about the birth bit that I wouldn't say no to a planned section. I know that it's not the easy option etc though. My mum had one with me, my sister ended up with an emergency as did a few friends. So few people I know have had straightforward natural births...sil's last one got stuck and they had to get loads of midwives in to manipulate her pelvis. Mind he was 10lb5oz!
its from daisybaby and £2.50 is the price inclusives of postage so total cost and it did actually cost them £2.25 postage plus obv the packing so they def are not overcharging.0 -

I'm also the same about the nappies..I keep looking and the more I look the more confused I get! I'm going to get approx 10 terries flat sheets and then I've narrowed it down to Bambinex/bumgenis/Totsbots as these seem the best and from what I can work out wraps all tend to be the same? But the major ruling factor is what i can get off ebay for a decent price:D I've ruled out the Bambino Mios(there's too many on ebay which to me says they're carp!:p)
I have vulvavestibulitus which made concieving a little difficult and different - google the condition for more informatio but brings some similar issues to dtd as vaginumus does.0 -
giz I have been ott with nappies and wipes as wanted to stock up whilst we had 2 full time wages as I am the main earner and being on maternity leave will finacially be tight for us -although have saved a small amount for this.
I have brought all our nappies on offer/with coupons and have brought sizes 1-4+ already not hundreds of packets but enough that it will save us some money in the long run and have brought pampers, huggies, aldi own, wilkinsons own, asda own, sainsburys own.
Wipes we have 69 packets all branded and max paid is £1 a packet as all brought on offer/with coupons.
Co-op have an offer starting today or tommorow for a week where the huggies large packs think are £9 will be BOGOF as will huggies wipes. Tempted to buy some sz 5!!0 -
