  • I'm due tomorrow and having some twinges, not sure if they are BH or the real thing. I think i'll wait it out, DS is happy in front of Camp Rock 2 for the time being.
  • Couple of suggestions for text/FB responses:

    Q. Any signs?
    A. Well I think the big belly is a sign I'm still pregnant.

    Q. Having any pains?
    A. Just pain in the !!!!! questions.

    Q. Have you had baby yet?
    A. I've had baby for 9 months and seems comfortable where he/she is.

    Q. Are you lookign forward to it?
    A. As much as you would look forward to pooing a watermelon.

    These are OH approved :D

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Especially like the last one. Must remember that.

I've just finished watching that :) Jonas Brothers were on BBC News this morning as well so I've had a good day waiting for Argos (no they're still not here...)

Does your son like High School Musical as well? It's the only reason I'm sad I'm not having a girl, I feel like it's a much more girly film series and I LOVE it so was looking forward to watching it with a daughter! But I do wonder whether boys like it as well for the basketball element?

  • Afternoon all.

Had a rubbish day yesterday :(. Got sent out to site last minute, then asked to go visit another site that was 60 miles further away around the M25. I said no, as I'd never have got back to the office in time to get my lift home. I still missed 3 office deadlines because of the first visit. One of my close friends and colleagues from my delartment is leaving at the end of next week, and another staff member is off to a site abroad for three months. The managers have no intention of replacing my friend (they're already ummming and ahhhing about whether or not to cover my maternity leave). We are already overstretched and constantly missing deadlines, and with him gone it'll be even worse. It'll effectively mean that the only person in my department who can drive out to site is me (our other staff members are not office-based, so not as easy for them to go out). Somehow they seem to have forgotten that I'm not as able as I was. My boss is not impressed either, as on friday we got asked to provide 3 more staff members to go out next week. Ummmmm.....who? Then project managers get annoyed with us for not geting their work done on time. WE CAN'T BECAUSE WE HAVE NO STAFF LEFT. If they don't realise that we can't cope, I'll be off with stress soon. Including my friend we'll have lost 5 members of staff in 2 years, none of whom have been replaced. Sorry for the rant. Just fed up.

Was up from 3 till 5 again. Wish I could get more sleep.

On the bright side, we're off out with my work friend tonight for a curry (very very very very mild for me).

    Long post over.

    HMx

I think a lot of companies are doing similar things HM, it's s**t. Our HR manager left a few weeks ago and is being replaced 2 days a week by the HR assistant from our umbrella company. We have also just taken over 2 other buildings to be opened soon but we aren't taking on any extra staff. It looks like I'll be expected to set up some of the IT for them - they don't seem to realise I'm only at my desk for another 75 days and that's if I don't get signed off for any reason, or don't have any more time off sick!

Sometimes moneysaving goes too far eh?

On a brighter note, my delivery from Books Direct Bargains arrived today so I'm now looking at piles of books of Bob the Builder, Charlie and Lola, Amazing Machines, Harry and his Bucket Full of Dinosaurs and Mr Pusskins! And the two Fisher Price sets that were free gifts that can go away for new baby presents as I've already got it for ours! All for the bargain price of £10 including delivery :)

He loves HSM, especially the second film. Is it sad that I know all of the words, think I could do the dances with my eyes closed too  He loves anything to do with singing and dancing, so don't worry you may have a boy like mine! Hehe. I bought him Step Up before realising it's not suitable for a five year old :eek: I only cottoned on right at the beginning when I thought I heard the word !!!!!! in the song, swiftly turned it off after that.

I've been having regular twinges, timed it to about 6 minutes apart. They are uncomfortable but they don't hurt, I'm not complaining! Does this sound right? I was induced with my son so I have no experience of natural labour.

  • ((HUGS)) Rach, hope you get things sorted out.

I was so pleased with myself yesterday having had a great nights sleep, last night certainly made up for that, I slept from about 11-2pm, then that was me for the night:( I went back to do some teaching this morning too, so really could have done with a good sleep. The classes went well, but don't think I could manage more than 3 in a row now!! It's the first time I've done any since June! It's funny how much the bump gets in the way doing simple things!! I'm doing a partylite party tonight too, first one for a while, tomorrow I'll pay for it!

Good luck Shelley it looks like things might be starting for you xx

We've just watched it too (for the 2nd time). Ds (7) loves HSM - think its the basketball part that does it for him.
One day overdue and still no sign of baby.

Good luck Shelley - hope this is it for you x
  • Thanks everyone, the midwife told me to stay at home as long as I was happy. The contractions are going from between 8 - 5 minutes apart. Gonna hit the shower and do a defuzz just in case she does come today. It hasn't been too bad so far but i'm sure that won't last.
