Morning all, up early-ish as couldn't stay lying down or get back to sleep, having painful BH's and it didn't help that the two most painful were the times hubby decided to lean against my back. Had to tell him to get off and after that, couldn't sleep anymore. Am downstairs now and wondering as they were pretty sore! had another little one on way to bathroom and one on way downstairs. Hope they stop I am starting to get nervous about being in labour again now and dealing with the pain again.

We finally picked up our travel system yesterday. Supposed to be around six weeks wait but took 3 1/2 months to get it. And now the blasted car seat is defective!:mad: It's an adjustable one so it can lie flat or be in a more upright position, but the mechanism doesn't allow it to move properly. Not sure what to do now. It'll have to go back but I certainly can't wait 3 1/2 months for a replacement, even 6 weeks will take me past my due date. I think I'll have to phone the shop tomorrow and tell them they need to order me a new one but I'll have to keep this one in the meantime in case the baby arrives. It's perfectly safe, we just can't adjust it as the baby gets older. Just typical that this should happen though, after we had to wait so long to get it.:(

It's DH and my first anniversary today. Wow that's flown by! We went out for a lovely meal last night and off to the in-laws for lunch today:D

I went to my 1st NCT sale yesterday, it was different than the one mentioned. Each table was ran by the owners of the items, so it was like a table top sale. It was in 2 small rooms, so was quite crowded, but overall i was pretty impressed and managed to grab a few bargains consisting of.....(ready for it?)
15 odd baby vests
9 baby grows,
2 outfits
1 pooh bear snow suit
6 muslin squares
1 pair of baby booties (picked by dd1)
a next cardi
baby toy
think thats everything...and all for less than £20!

Hugs bigbird i think i would of flipped if that happened to me especially after waiting so long on it! Happy anniversary by the way

Don - hope the BHs stop being painful!! i had some last night spent most of the night awake thinking "is this it?" but the twinges have stopped. does anyone else find that their twinges/BHs are always at night?

Still no sign, although had a nosebleed this morning which is a first for me!!

rach - don't feel bad, at the end of the day you need to do what's right for you and if people are offended it's their issue not yours. We're the same in the fact we want a bit of time just the 3 of us, but know there are certain friends and family that will be pushy and try and come round. OH is already laying the law down, saying everyone must phone beforehand and don't expect to be allowed to come round when they want to!!

Couldn't sleep last night either, had a terrible tension headache. Feel shattered today.

2 days overdue now......:( The thought of another 12 days makes me want to cry.

JMF i also had my first nosebleed whilst pregnant scared the crap out of me as id never had one before!

ethelsmum- labour vibes for you, hopefully something will happen soon. im struggling to cope and i havent even got to my due date so dont know how i would feel to go overdue

happy anniversary bigbird, I'd be livid about the carseat. I bet they can get one quicker too so do make a fuss! what travel system do you have? I presume if there is now stock around you should be able to get a replacement pretty quickly.

Was up 5-6am munching cereal, am so hungry at the moment and massively craving milk! anyone else?

one of the team midwives phoned this am, good she did but woke me and of course had to explain the whole story to her. she was ok but a bit dismissive and said go to consultant with open mind but she thinks he will recommend section. I just wanted to speak to my own mw though

Went out last night. A friend told me that I was glowing :T

Can't tell you how happy that made me.

Right, must get on. Lots to do today - cleaning, washing, Tescos and a bit of work work.

i have to say im a little bit jealous of you now hngrymummy, the only "glow" i have at the moment is sweat :rotfl:does anyone else think its really humid or something today.
