  • Congrats Don she is gorge :D

im really really sorry ladies but i think im also queue jumping :o

been up since 3 with pains and having regular contractions since 4.30, they about 5-8 mins apart, have gave up timing them now though. phoned hospital dont have to go in until "the contractions take your breath away" they arent that sore yet so think il have a lot more hours of this to go. although i really really want to know if im dilating but if i go into hosp now they will just send me home again so not much point.
  • Congratulations Don. Gorgeous photo so I'll forgive the queue jumping ;).

    Oooh good luck Dream.

Labour vibes to Ethelsmum and jmf76 :D

I'm at home sick today, had a cold since Thursday night and haven't quite shaken it yet, so I'm tucked up on the sofa watching last night's X-Factor (watched Must Be The Music instead last night). Made myself a hot drink which is brilliant, it's:

    4 cloves
A few slices of fresh ginger
    A slice of lemon
    Some honey

You simmer the cloves and ginger for 20 mins, add the lemon for 5 mins and then strain and sweeten with honey. Really did the trick yesterday so hoping it will do the same today :)

Best wishes Dream - don't leave it too long to get to hospital though - listen to your own feelings and go as soon as you feel ready to.

Labour vibes too to Ethelsmum and jmf76 and anyone else in need of them.

    Thanks all! :)

Congratulations Don, what a gorgeous little girl and a lovely name.

Good Luck Dream - hope this is it for you!! I thought it might be my time last night but all quietened down by 5am.

Had a bit of a worry yesterday as my sister phoned and said they thought my niece had chicken pox, ive seen her a few time this week including having her cuddled up on my lap on saturday. My mum couldnt be certain i had it as a child, but thinks i did, so spoke to midwife and they are checking my blood. However just had a text from my sister and and they dont think it is chicken pox but they are taking my niece to the doctors today - all good fun!!! :)

Good news is my waters didnt break in the posh hotel.:rotfl:Hubby has decided not to go into work today and work from home, so going so see if we can borrow a wheelchair and pop into town or down to the sea front. :j
