fuzz - I have a medela mini pump and TT CTN bottles and had just assumed I'd transfer the milk from the bottle that fixes to the pump to a CTN one?
I thought that but figured it'd become a ball-ache after a while:o Probs will get a couple of advent bottles too so I don't have a constant cycle of sterilising going on:o

    Q. I'm currently 30 weeks and sporting no bump whatsoever but plenty of movement going on. At my last MW appointment (28 weeks) I was measuring 4 weeks ahead on the measurement chart. I just don't get it. I am 5ft 10in so quite tall, would that make a difference? Oh, and I have put on no weight either so far.

I see the MW again a week from today so will find out if I'm still measuring ahead.

    Should I be worried?
No need to be worried if your midwife isn't:) and yes I would've thought height would have something to do with not having a huge bump, bubs has more space to spread...saying that, my bump isn't mahoosive and I'm only 5'2":D if both you & your OH are tall then chances are bubs will be tall too so is probs quite long hence measuring ahead of dates :)

I have another bottle question - if I have a microwave steriliser, do I also need sterilising fluid? Or is that just if you're sterilising solely in hot water?
I'm not getting any steriliser fluid for mine..bubs would never build up a decent immune system and to me it's pretty much the same as giving bubs bleach:o Plain, boily hot steam should do nicely;):)
Think you'd probs needs it if sterilising in cold water though?? Sure someone who knows better will be along soon:)

B&J thanks:D I might buy a mix of the 2 types...bubs'll either have to like it or starve, well, until Daddy learns how to lactate anyway:p:rotfl::rotfl:

ETA: welcome Ema:) Amazing seeing bubs isn't it?? You'll soon be whining with the rest of us ;):p:rotfl: Have you been added to the EDD list??

Rach is taking control :j I phoned ante natal, got appointment moved to tomorrow 1.50pm, when I explained she agreed I need to be seen and even 2 days can make a difference. What an amazing woman she is the ante natal admin woman, she has helped me several times now, it's a real vocation I think!

I am so proud of myself - have just been through the present stash up in the loft and sorted out presents for almost everyone for Christmas, and about 70% of next year's birthdays! A lot of the Xmas presents were purchased with people in mind, but next year I figure people will understand if they just get a generic box of toiletries - I'll be a busy new mum, they should think themselves lucky to get anything ;)
i think the steam does the job, but my microwave one can also be used as a cold water one where you do use tablets/liquid. TBH think this is what I'll mainly do as my bottles aren't the ones that came with the steriliser and I think they can then just stay in there and stay sterile whereas with the steam ones they only stay sterile for a certain time. I am planning to BF anyway so will only really hopefully use the steriliser for the breast pump stuff and the odd bottle later on, i guess a dummy if we do use them.

well done on the presents, we are going to cut down a lot on presents from now on, with so many babies around I think we're going to start mainly buying for kids.

    welcome ema

    - as long as you're measuring ok i wouldn't worry, everyone carries differently (i am massive!). Sure you mw will say if she thinks there's any problem, you can always raise it at your next appointment. You probably just have good muscle tone (unlike me...)

KH has just texted to ask if I plan on using the CSA or private, said I had not decided and asked him why he asked. "just wondering" was the reply........he never just wonders anything, but am too tired for game play......any thoughts?!
