KH has just texted to ask if I plan on using the CSA or private, said I had not decided and asked him why he asked. "just wondering" was the reply........he never just wonders anything, but am too tired for game play......any thoughts?!
Ummm...apart from him being a KH aint a clue! Either he's wanting to get it organised in his head so he can plan other things(or at least thats why I'd want to kow) or he's trying to work out how to con you out of money if you go private!
I hoe you do go through CSA :o:)

    Hi,

Congrats to all the new mums and labour vibes to those who want / need them.

    Q. I'm currently 30 weeks and sporting no bump whatsoever but plenty of movement going on. At my last MW appointment (28 weeks) I was measuring 4 weeks ahead on the measurement chart. I just don't get it. I am 5ft 10in so quite tall, would that make a difference? Oh, and I have put on no weight either so far.

I see the MW again a week from today so will find out if I'm still measuring ahead.

    Should I be worried?

    Thanks x

No, don't worry - pregnancy is much less of a science than we'd like, and no two pregnancies are the same. Measuring a couple of cm different to the standard chart is fine if your MW is happy. I measured 4cm small for the last 10 weeks last time and DS was 9lb4oz, and you couldn't see I was expecting if I wasn't wearing a tight top. It sounds like they are looking after you anyway.

I am carrying small again this time - I want a bump! I still just look a bit thick around the waist at 21 weeks. Still, as we still have no news on exchange or completion dates for the new house, I ought to be grateful!

Well, I thought I would give him a couple of months of private (as I know CSA can take FOREVER) and he has offered......CSA works out at about £175/£180 pcm, he has offered a flat £200 by standing order into my account.......thought I might give him a chance then can resort to CSA if needed? :o

Know it might sound daft, but the maint money will not be desperado for the 1st couple of months, as I have most stuff in.......and by then I can see if he is actually likely to pay!!

  • If you aint desperate for it then I see your point...BUT just coz he's offering mor ethan you'd get off CSA doesn't mean it's the best choice:o Whats he like at holding down a job?? If he suddenly goes on benefits what'll happen??
I don't mean to be mean or anything, I just know the !!!!!! you went through earlier in the pg and he's not the most reliable of people!:o:o:o

i think the steam does the job, but my microwave one can also be used as a cold water one where you do use tablets/liquid. TBH think this is what I'll mainly do as my bottles aren't the ones that came with the steriliser and I think they can then just stay in there and stay sterile whereas with the steam ones they only stay sterile for a certain time. I am planning to BF anyway so will only really hopefully use the steriliser for the breast pump stuff and the odd bottle later on, i guess a dummy if we do use them.

well done on the presents, we are going to cut down a lot on presents from now on, with so many babies around I think we're going to start mainly buying for kids.

Thanks - think I understand! I'm going to hopefully just BF as well but think it would be nice for OH to be able to bottle feed baby breast milk as well, plus for days out it might be easier than lopping my b(.)(.)bs out! ;)

Most of my friends locally don't have kids, one or two do but I don't really know them as a family, just the girls. But after next year when I've been off work for a year and hanging out with local mums, who knows what will change!

Just been to Tesco to try and find some of the 1p bargains (see the Grabbit board) couldn't find any apart from the Cafe Direct coffee so came out with 14 bags of fresh ground coffee for 14p! Will see OH through till next summer when it goes out of date I hope. Also went to M&Co and got some more nice boys clothes with the 20% off voucher. Oh and 3 packs of Huggies wipes on buy one get two free, with a £1 off voucher - if anyone still has theirs from the Tesco parenting club mailing, now's the time to use it!
    My debt free diary | Post Office loan: £2131 1429.38 | Barclaycard: £4429 1988.12 | Paypal Credit £322.71 574.91 | Monzo Flex £169.03 |

Total £4151.44 | £2900.30 of £7051.74 paid off since diary started October 2024.

Surprisingly good on the job front.......been in the same one since before we got together, so must be about 4/5 years now............if he goes on benefits, I'd only get a fiver a week via CSA anyway, so would have to face that, but TBH, I sort of want to give him this chance as he has been "well behaved" for the last few months, and I want to give him this chance to prove himself if that makes sense.........I am aware I make him sound like a pet/child :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I totally get that you don't want to be mean, and in your shoes I might advise CSA as well.......I think it might have to be a "play it by ear" sort of thing........

TV not that exciting......sadly..........my dad is a site manager for a cement works that yesterday blew up a massive chimney......much like Top gear a few weeks back....but BIGGER :D:D:D

Is anyone else ( wake up fuzz :D ) 33/34 weeks gone and unable to keep their eyes open? Keep feeling like they are going to keel over?
  • Chakani you can share some of my bump, am only 17+2 and look about 6 months lol, but I carried large with DD so was expecting it. Its just funny when people ask when I'm due and I say february, I usually get asked if its twins, same when pregnant with DD. OH keeps joking that this one will be an 11lber have told him he is so not funny.

PS I hate cars! Our windscreen wipers are broke.
    DS1 arrived 22/02/11! 8lb3oz
    DD1 arrived 20/05/09 10lb3oz
