    Good luck Dream xx

Thanks rach, he died in hospital and was there on thursday morning so not sure. Apparently they are sorting out more details today, might give my mum a ring later on to see how everyone is doing. I don't think they were doing much yesterday since it was sunday so probably was a good time to go up.

Well my GTT was normal but I had 2-3 sugar in my urine so they are referring to the diabetic team anyway. GTT with DS was borderline but since I'd had it with DD was diagnosed anyway so now I'm wondering if the GTT is really any good as a diagnostic test, oh well. Baby was measuring 33 weeks as well so referred for a growth scan as well.
  • Awwwww Congratulations Don – what an absolute cutie Bronte is :D Hope you are both doing well.

Good luck dream hope that things goes smoothly for you and it doesn’t drag on too long. Will look forward to an update from you soon :)

Am finally in the 2nd tri hurrah 14wks and 2 days! Am finding things really difficult atm as am just constantly tired. Not just a little tired but literally feel exhausted :( slept for 10hrs Sat night, got up yesterday and within an hour I was falling asleep whilst talking and had to go back to bed.

Spent 4hrs in bed yesterday afternoon but as soon as I got up I was constantly yawning and felt shattered again. Am really fed up as have spent most of the weekend in bed but still feel tired. Burst into tears earlier as just feel so exhausted plus I feel like I’ve wasted the whole weekend and now it’s back to crappy work again.

I can’t wait for this sudden burst of energy I’ve read that you get in 2nd tri to appear!

  • Extra 20% off at peacocks until 25/09 with code NOTW20 . Think it's on sale stuff too but not 100% sure :)

Yep it works on sale stuff - unfortunately there is postage charge of £3.95. If you can save more than that though it's a good bargain!

    Congratulations Don, she's beautiful :)

Good luck Dream. And labour vibes for those in need.

Glad to hear things are going well for you Tinkwings

Spoken to the pram shop about the car seat this morning and made it clear that we can't be waiting weeks for a replacement. I think it makes a difference whether they send ours back as defective straight out of the box, rather than after it's been used, so they need to send it back asap. They've suggested we take all of the fabrics off ours and put them on the display model they have in the shop, so that we at least still have a car seat while they sort everything out. Sounds good to me, so we'll pop over and get that swapped over at the weekend.

Last week of work this week. It's going to be weird finishing on Friday. Especially as I work from home, so it'll be pretty much the same as the end of any other week, I just won't be logging on again for 6-7 months!

And it also means it must be nearly time for me to have this baby

Quick q for those who have little ones already....I'm planning on breastfeeding but mixing with bottle feeding once established.
Now I was gonna get TT CTN bottles BUT looking through my stash of hand-me downs realised the breast pump is an Advent one and the TT CTN bottles won't fit it:mad: has anyone done mixed feeding before using the advent bottles(cant find any info on them being used with mixed feeding) and how did it go??? Or is it better me investing in a TT breast pump and using CTN bottles & teats???
If you need any clarification over that jumbled post..please ask:o:p:D Thanks ladies x

fuzz - I have a medela mini pump and TT CTN bottles and had just assumed I'd transfer the milk from the bottle that fixes to the pump to a CTN one?

currently trying to get through to ante natal to see if they have had any cancellations for the consultant tomorrow so I can bring my appt back forward, friend who took me out for coffee said I should try, I had given up thinking about it! They still have the lunchtime answerphone on, meant to reopen at 1.30 so will keep trying!

friend's husband is a GP and he'd said that even if I go to consultant thurs there's nothing to say I won't be booked in for fri or early next week anyway as there's quite a bit of flexibility with appointments.

    Hi,

Congrats to all the new mums and labour vibes to those who want / need them.

    Q. I'm currently 30 weeks and sporting no bump whatsoever but plenty of movement going on. At my last MW appointment (28 weeks) I was measuring 4 weeks ahead on the measurement chart. I just don't get it. I am 5ft 10in so quite tall, would that make a difference? Oh, and I have put on no weight either so far.

I see the MW again a week from today so will find out if I'm still measuring ahead.

    Should I be worried?

    Thanks x

    Hello

Can I join you all? I'm 11 weeks 2 days, scan this morning all looked good so that is official :) I am due on 9th April 2011.
Have been lurking for a while to see what you are all up to, not sure I'll be able to keep up with how quickly this thread moves though.

Been reading a few of the birth stories and although it is pretty scary to me it makes me feel a bit more calm knowing what things I might expect to happen (obviously depending how it all goes). Anyhow, still rather a long way to go now so have plenty of time to worry lol!

This is exactly what I'm going to do.

I have another bottle question - if I have a microwave steriliser, do I also need sterilising fluid? Or is that just if you're sterilising solely in hot water?

I am so proud of myself - have just been through the present stash up in the loft and sorted out presents for almost everyone for Christmas, and about 70% of next year's birthdays! A lot of the Xmas presents were purchased with people in mind, but next year I figure people will understand if they just get a generic box of toiletries - I'll be a busy new mum, they should think themselves lucky to get anything ;)
