Chakani you can share some of my bump, am only 17+2 and look about 6 months lol, but I carried large with DD so was expecting it. Its just funny when people ask when I'm due and I say february, I usually get asked if its twins, same when pregnant with DD. OH keeps joking that this one will be an 11lber have told him he is so not funny.

PS I hate cars! Our windscreen wipers are broke.

Yes please! I am bigger than last time, but still don't look pregnant yet. I'm trying to hurry surveyors and solicitors along because we need to move in as soon as possible to be ready for the baby, and they keep looking at me like I'm some kind of psycho - even if things go well, I'll be over 30 weeks before we can move, but I just don't look pregnant so they don't believe me

    i'm in a grump mood.

pelvis hurts like hell, OH still has a trapped nerve in his back and you would think he was bein asked to birth a 28lb baby out is uretha with no pain relief. He had a chiropractor last week and I went with him and the Chiropractor basically told him to get a grip. I inow he so she attempted to make him understand by showing him what was happening to my pelvis but nope he is still feeling sorry for himself so I am not speaking to him.

So i'm watching portland babies and some woman is getting an epidural :vomit:

I have a question about baby showers - has anyone here had one? Or is it more of an American thing? If you've had one or are having one, did you organise it yourself or did a friend/relative do it?

I only ask because I think it would be nice to have the girls over for bubbles and cake when I leave work, but I got told off for organising my own hen night so don't want to offend anyone or step on toes if it's something someone might be planning for me. But on the other hand, I don't really like surprises so would rather know if it's going to happen! Have told OH to brief me if anyone mentions it to him.

And then on the third hand (?) I don't want to organise it myself in case people think I'm just doing it for presents!

I thought perhaps a nice compromise would be, if no one has organised one for me by the time I drop, I could arrange for the girls to come over to see baby when he's about two weeks old, and get OH to sort out bubbles and cake etc?

Lilian I think it is more of an american thing but is becoming more popular over here, traditionally someone else organises it for you but I can't see why you can't do it yourself, mind you I'd have said the same about the hen night. I left my sister to organise my hen night and it was a bit of a disaster. Never had a baby shower but kind of wish I had with the first, I'm going with the other plan and inviting everyone round a couple of weeks after baby is here.

    Kind of - Sevenoaks.
  • My daughter has her mind set of getting a Mutsy Urban Rider...baby due at Christmas. When I was shopping in Newcastle I thought I would ask around on her behalf to get prices but none of the baby departments had even heard of Mutsy. Our local baby shop have said they would have to order one in for her...but it would be nice to see and feel one in the flesh before ordering and it would also be nice to get one for a good price as I also believe they are quite expensive. Just wondering if anyone on the forum had one of these systems.
  • Chery..from what I've heard it's very similar to the Oyster, but obviously only heard that through friends have no experience with either(too expensive for me:o)
Have a look here thats their site and the page I've linked you to should show you where it's stocked, just have to find your area:) HTH
    1.11.09 - debt = £45k:eek:
    [STRIKE]Car Loan = £0[/STRIKE] CCCS Total = £30,246.88 Total Debt Paid off - 32.78%
DFD [STRIKE]Nov[/STRIKE][STRIKE]Sept[/STRIKE]Aug 2018:o Only 75 payments to go:)
  • We are in Northumberland and from what I have managed to find out the shops that stock them seem to be down South. Don't know where the daughter gets her expensive tastes from...not me that's for sure.
Thanks for the link, I'll have a look.
