    Labour vibes Bunny and Courgette!

    Congratulations MOTM!!:D

Thanks to all for the Vertbaudet info.

Dreambirdie - my right foot looks the same as yours and has done for a few weeks now, the left is also swollen but a little less. They both shrink a little overnight but swell again during the day no matter whether I sit with feet up all day or not. I hate them!
  • Gena im the same my right foot is much worse than the left? and mine go down a bit aswell overnight but not completely then about an hour after i wake up the right one is massive again! just praying it doenst get stuck like that

had a carp nights sleep OH fell asleep within about 5 mins and proceeded to snore right in my ear  so got up and went into the other room which was fine but then had 2 toilet trips. i definately think the toilet trips are preparing me to never have an unbroken nights sleep again!

had a bit of a false alarm this morning, was walking to the ATM and got had a really bad stitch across my stomach and in between my legs felt soaking all of a sudden. rushed back home to check and nothing is coming out now, think it might of been just clear discharge im not really sure? not having pain in the bump either so think im fine for now. bit scary though!

I've just done all my car boot bargains washing - I know I've still got 4 and a half months to go but someone mentioned on this thread that it would be easier to dry things outside now than in the winter - which is a very good point! So now I have a washing line full of incredibly tiny clothes and I can't imagine anything ever being small enough to fit into it all!

well still no baby from me, So I'll be off to a wedding. We have lots of back up plans in case I do need to get to the hospital, so now baby has to wait till tonight or tomorrow, lol
When I had my sweep yesterday, midwife checked her heart rate before and after she prodded her head and it just didn't change, she said she's too chilled out and relaxed in there, despite everything being ready to go!

Hope there's a very good reason courgette hasn't been on *fingers crossed*

Bunny - hope baby holds on for you till tomorrow, enjoy the wedding :)

Question for those of you who are already parents - if we wanted to take baby on holiday next year, what's the best age? We're looking at a drive from Manchester to Liverpool, ferry to Dublin then another hour's drive to a cottage. If baby's due end January would August be ok or is that noisy teething territory? What age is best for that kind of holiday?

  • Good morning ladies, i hope Courgette is doing well? Mummy cuddles?

I am work today, and have been since 8.15!! Which is lovely, 6 day week this week and long hours i bet, and only to be told that they have extended my probation already as they are still not sure i can do my job well enough!!

Oh well, i slept quite well last night, only one wee per night at the moment, but it is all very odd for me as i am used to having a bladder the size of wales!

Bean has been moving around like crazy recently, it seems to have had a huge growth spurt and is stronger and more active than ever. I love it, but it can make conversations at work a little awkward as sometimes a kick or spin makes me lose my breath :)

Sorry to all those with swollen feet, bp problems. I have not managed to collect my prescription for the "urgent" iron tablets as the chemist is not open when i am available, but my neighbour has said she will try and collect tomorrow for me. I still don't feel like i could possibly be amaemic!??

I am quite relieved as the college where i work turned the power off yesterday and the network is down for the entire weekend, so i had difficulty getting online today, and it would have been a stupidly long day sitting here with nothing to do, waiting for the students to have a break and come and ask questions, but here i am so you may see a bit more of me than normal!!!

Sorry for the long post :) I am bored :)

I want to know this too as we want to go to NY to show baby off to family :) I'm dreading travelling with a baby - especially as I've spent my life being p*ssed off by screaming babies/children on planes :o

There is no best age Lillian, and you definitely can't predict when they'll be teething! If you want to go in August, then go, it'll be fine. Generally you have to prioritise the baby less when they are not moving around by themselves, once they get moving, it's a bit more difficult, but still fine.

We took our DS camping at that age and had a blast, and to a holiday cottage and a group holiday in a youth hostel and they were all fine.

Thanks very much - I'm wondering whether June/July would be better purely cause it's not summer holidays so the ferry might be cheaper. But that's great to know that earlier is probably better!

i agree any age is fine for holiday. Just be prepared to feel like your moving house. We went caravaning when DS was a little older but still needed cot, steriliser, toys plus lots more, but i am the sort of person who packs for all eventualities just incase.

feeling tired today as had a busy week or so. looking forward to a this week as its a little less hectic. Last week we had 2 weddings, Glucose tolerance test, stress of waiting to sell car - now done although not been able to cash chequeso have no money, and DD started school. To top it off DS has been poorly since wed but is thankfully showing signs of improvement today.

Got MW on wed sowill get her to sign sure start grant form, plus will getblood results back.

Still in pj's and housework is a tip so better get on
