Make it 3 how high is your MCV level?? be prepared for some dumb questions like how much alcohol do you consume. a high MCV is usually due to a deficiency in b12 or folic acid but that shouldn't be the case if your taking your antenatal vitamins. Only issue with larger red cells is there is less of them per ml of blood and the red cells cary oxygen to your organs so you may tire easier. mine sits about the 120 level naturall and it hasn't harmed me yet so don't worry.

  • I'm going to delurk to exclaim that I can't believe I'm due in 18 days, where's the time gone! It's my second child but I'm starting to get jittery, I've forgotton how much it hurt in the five years since my first was born, eek!

Here's hoping for a quick delivery, minimal intervention and no tears in the lady garden this time!!

Have any other ladies coming to the end noticed a rise in appetite? I'm like a one woman dustbin! x
  • moneysaver- i always forget to ask them for a sample bottle and i thought i had to bring a first morning urine sample so always end up buying a wee bottle from the chemist the day before appointments.

shelly ive definately noticed an increase in my appetite, especially in the mornings! the other day i ate a packet of crisps and bar of chocolate at 8 in the morning, something i would never of normally done. and junk food like that just seems soooo wrong in the morning!:o

talking of appetite...I'm up now eating a bowl of cereal :D I guess I only had toast last night for dinner as had big lunch.

Not having a great sleep, went to sleep about 12, woke up at 1.30 and 4.30 for loo and haven't really been back since. Suddenly very hot and hungry so having ceral plus some water with ice. Will go back to bed in a sec and aim for another couple of hours sleep. Think my mind is also preoccupied with all I have to do at work, but it's not all going to be done so I am going to write a list of priorities now and email to myself (I have one at work but think another will help me get back to sleep!!). I am determined to leave work today after my meeting which is due to finish at 4, I really don't want to overdo it. Have arranged for the meeting to be in a cafe across the road from the office so I can buy the girl who runs the project a coffee so I will just pack up before i go and make it a quick one ;)

I've never done one first thing in the morning. I've pick up a bottle when I've got to the surgery and done one when I arrived in the past and MW has never said anything, if fact she recommends doing that if you forget to collect one.

Kitkat, Theo is lovely! He's got a proper little 'boy' face, you can't always tell with newborns what they are. Good on you for sticking to your guns too!

I do the same. Last time I went to hospital they had a box of sample bottles in the toilets so I snaffled as many as I thought I needed for my next appointments. Don't buy them!

  • Morning girls,

I'm feeling sorry for myself this morning, I only have a cold but it seems to have gone straight to my sinus, paracetamol only just taking the edge off, so I did a steam bath last night and put karvol on my pillows (think I must have snored alot as DH kept telling me to turn over!! OOPs :rotfl:).

SO I have done nothing other than feed ds and myself, I've sat reading all the posts from yesterday.

Kitkat - Congrats, Theo is a great name (my nephew's name). Sorry birth wasn't great. HE is gorgeous, thanks for posting a picture.

MotM - Hope it goes ok friday.

Rach - hope your work day goes ok. I have so many things I know I have to do for others before I go on maternity leave, and they are not that confident in taking over some of my roles, but I'm so busy doing my normal work I'm not getting time to do them, I only I work 2 days so I'm craming it in each week. I know I'm putting pressure on myself but its for my colleagues I have respect for not my manager who is insisting that others take over the jobs even though they know they are really unhappy to do them. Oh well I just have to do what I can.

I'm sorry I've waffled so much I can't remember everything I wanted to say! :o

Right going to get off my bottom and get washed and get some house work done!

    TF xx

KitKat Huge Congrats Theo is beautiful :j

I am in a bad place at the moment so won't bring others down but just wanted to say Huge Congrats to new arrivals and progressing bumps.

    Take care ladies :A
If you can think it........it will happen
  • Whats up Tinks? x

I'm feeling unusually bouncy today. I think my yoga classes do really help, even though last night she was getting us to do some very stretchy moves which I thought I wouldn't be able to do.

    I'd definitely recommend it! :D

Finding that my hips are a bit sore when I walk now. I'm guessing that's just things moving and stretching as the pregnancy progresses.
