oooh you guys have made me want to buy a 5ft pillow now! they sound heavenly! ive taken to sleeping with a normal one in between my legs it really does help me get comfy now im the later stages of this pregnancy.
my right foot is currently huge! it actually looks like my toes are screwed on my foot is that fat! though i think it must be just fluid retention, because it happens every other day then goes away. must remember to mention it to the doc tomorrow. my urine always has a trace of protien in it but every time they send it off to the lab it comes back as ok. must ask doc for my sample bottle back 2mro if he doesnt need to send it away im sick of having to buy new ones!0 -
Congratulations Kitkat, Theo is gorgeous
Congratulations on twins MOTM. And good luck for FridayAwww, I love a good question-popping (Just a thought - your OH doesn't come on here does she???)
I have a 5ft pillow too and I love it. Though DH is a little miffed that I snuggle up with that instead of him now! It's his own fault for being a human radiator, there's no way I can sleep too close to him at the momentYou can do anything, make anything, dream anything. I think I need to talk pillows soon. My mini bump is getting bigger I reckon and I'm noticing it being uncomfortable at night...god knows what it's going to be like when it's huge. Do you guys use normal pillows? Or have you bought special pillows?
Not that it's an issue yet for me this time (I'll have to put a photo of my micro-bump up, so you and MV can have a good laugh), but I found a normal pillow between my knees and tucked under bump worked well last time. I have a v-shaped one that I love, but for support sitting up in bed rather than for sleeping - it was a godsend for breastfeeding, it meant I could properly relax while mini-man troughed away for an hour at a time. If you found it useful for sleeping as well, that would make it double value.0 -
Congratulations on Theo, he is gorgeous, and I love Logan - it's on our list of names
On the subject of names is anyone else waiting to see the baby to make a final choice on the name, we have a short-list and we will be waiting to see what he looks like before we make our decision - it'll probably end up not even being on the short-list!
Fuzz - I'm loving being pregnant too, I didn't think I'd ever get here so I'm loving every minute of it and I love watching the movements too
I've got a fab V-shaped pillow it was only £7 an I love it, I looked at so many expensive ones but I'm happy with this one, my sister used hers for feeding too0 -
Thanks everyone! My mum used to have a V shaped pillow. Wonder if she still has it...
I'll give the normal pillow a go then, I have tried it but I end up kicking it out of bed. I don't get what I'm meant to do with it. Will have a google for picturesBaby Giz born 6/2/110 -
Ooh dream, you shouldn't have to buy them the Drs should just hand them out! My foot went huge AFTER I had DD2... The midwife said it was all the extra fluid your body needs when you're growing a baby trying to make it's way out... Funny it chose to make it's way out of one foot... And I was glad it was May so I could squeeze my giant shrek foot into a croc lol...
I have a 5ft feather pillow... It spends most of it's time on DD1s bed...A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Something to make you ladies (and men) giggle...
On the back of the bottle of stuff I've got to wash in for 2 days before section (cos I'm infected) it says:
"PRECAUTIONS: AVOID CONTACT WITH BRAIN"

Ummmm.... I'll try my best!!!:DBLOWINGBUBBLES:kisses2: SMARTIE120 -
I picked my pillows up from Dunelm Mill both times. They have different colour cases as well so it matches in the bedroom decor. I used mine for feeding for the first 4-6 months, really helped on the cluster feeding in the evening, saved my arms.
Giz - you put it between your knees to keep you hips in line and when your bump is big enough it can provide support under there too so it doesn't pull. I also lie on it so I feel I'm lying on my back, but I'm not - if that makes sense.0 -
I got mine out of Dunelm Mill too, I like that I can get lots of different coloured cases!
Smartie - that made me laugh!0 -
Rocket now finished with DS this morning, papier mache pig half finished, ready to be painted tomorrow. I'm never using gloopy glue again, I'm still peeling it off my hands 4 hours later!!
I had my hydrotherapy session cancelled today, so I'm starting to suffer again, but have physio tomorrow so know I'll be in even more pain again on Friday. Hopefully I'll be feeling much better on Sat though as I'm off to a local baby show with a friend and there's unlikely to be a wheelchair option so need to be feeling at my "best", whatever that is these days, to manage on my cructhes. lol
DH is trying to talk me into hiring/buying a mobility scooter until the end so we can go to places like Longleat etc with DS. It'll cost around GBP200 whether we buy or hire until the end so not so sure its a good idea, can think of much better things to spend money on, but DH is really keen!
We've just had delivery of a retractable child gate for the top of the stairs (mainly to keep the dog from eating the cat food) I wasn't too keen on getting it to start with as had read some poor reports, but DH was adament. He spent about 2 hours putting it together this pm and has decided it's not going to be able good and needs to go back. Hope they'll take it back as it was almost GBP70. He's getting so excited buying little things left right and centre its really quite sweet.
Think I'm going to have a bath and an early night tonight, maybe to half hour of my cross stitch so unlikely to be on later. Night everyone!!0
