MI3 - I feel like this sometimes, I'm not the sort to enjoy being pregnant. You will forget most of the rubbish bits later, and it is so worth it in the end. (I forgot to the extent of doing it all over again, but that's because I'm a bit dim :D ). Definitely nothing wrong with only one child either, if that's what's right for your family.

Tink, you are not going to bring us down, this is the best place to come and have a moan, so moan away, and have a dodgy hug :grouphug:

MV, never had a diabetes test, but not eating for that long sounds completely inhumane to me!

I've got itchy feet this morning, there will be so many things we'll need to do and organise if this house goes through, but I can't do any of them until we've exchanged contracts. And I won't be able to see my feet by then, so it feels so wrong not to be doing them while it's easy. We're in limbo land now, waiting for mortgage company to arrange survey dates, and solicitors to do checks, it's frustrating.

I'm filling the time by sorting out all our paperwork and decluttering, but we only moved into this house last Christmas, and I had a serious declutter then, so there's not that much of it to do. We're helping my little brother move house at the weekend, so I shall do some baking to make up for the fact I won't be carrying sofas. Domestic goddess, me :rotfl:
  • ..oh and a quickie (another one! :D)..

I have to have the fasting glucose test for gestational diabetes (not sure if I've spelt that right!).

Has anyone else had it? I have to fast for 24 hours and then drink loads of Lucozade and have blood tests over a number of hours...sounds just grand!

It's because of my age apparemtly..
I had this the last two pregnancies... The first one I had to drink chemical sugar in a cup that nearly made me barf (and the only thing that kept it down was the knowledge that I'd have to go through it again if I did...) and the second time it was a full can and a half of lucozade which was slightly easier...

This time I've declined the routine testing of it unless I show any signs (glucose in my water sample or other Diabetes symptoms) I don't think it's neccessary to test me just because I don't fit in their "standard" box, I don't think it's healthy to flood myself with that much sugar in one go after fasting all night... And I have a very much free range toddler that I don't fancy entertaining in a hospital waiting room for 2 hours...

Now has anyone seen my green notes? I don't know what I've done with them...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

    Whats up Tinks? x

Not happy with being PG which I know is a truly awful horrid thing to say :o DH & I have not spoken for the last 4 days and I just feel like I have had enough.

Hate Myself  Hate the way I am being made to feel by DH & my mum & mum in law :mad::mad::mad::mad:

Just wish everyone one around me would BACK OFF and leave me be

They instead choose to treat me like a child & think that by talking about me behind my back and shouting at me will make me better

I know I have issues with food & eating I have lived with them for the last 21 years of my life. Do they not understand that what they are doing and how they are treatinf me is making me a million times worse

(Told you I should have stayed quite :o:o:o)
If you can think it........it will happen
  • tink would getting away for a day or two help? Give you a chance to relax with out family badgering you?

I must say that I dont like being pregnant due to ms,spd and carpal tunnel but really enjoy the prize at the end of it all. That is the only reason I am doing this for a second time is for mummy cuddles :D

Make it 3 how high is your MCV level?? be prepared for some dumb questions like how much alcohol do you consume. a high MCV is usually due to a deficiency in b12 or folic acid but that shouldn't be the case if your taking your antenatal vitamins. Only issue with larger red cells is there is less of them per ml of blood and the red cells cary oxygen to your organs so you may tire easier. mine sits about the 120 level naturall and it hasn't harmed me yet so don't worry.

Just back from midwife and seems my level is 103 and cut off is 100, so pretty marginal. Still they're testing everything again just to see. Apparently my iron levels are fine, so Vit B12 is the chief culprit. Will I just get given supplements? I'm already taking pregnancy multi-vits anyway.

MV - I haven't been asked to do a gestational diabetes test and I have a few years on you. Maybe that's the next thing they will spring on me! 24 hours without food - that's gonna be a tough one!

    Morning All,

Tinks - not much help, but bigs hugs for you. Rant away, its partly what we are here for.
KK - congrats, Theo is gorgeous.
Man on The moon - congrats on the twins, and good luck for Friday.
Fuzz - glad you have had good news for friend and mum. And yes I got the extras with the cot. They are really cute, had to put them on cot straight away and take pics.

Pepermint tea - not sure who was asking about it, but my midwife recommends it for trapped wind, so must be safe during pregnancy.
Pillows - dont use any extra myself, but then I am a right fidget bum in bed, so they end up all over the floor. I do have a V shaped one though for proping me up when I have a cold / read a book.
More than 1 baby - I want 2. Right now though, am not so sure. Have had a really easy pregnancy, but its starting to get me down now.

Been to midwife this morning, everything is good and in her words, bump is perfect. Am getting a sweep next week if bubs hasn't arrived before then. Was told to do nipple stimulation, dtd and drink raspberry leaf tea. Already been drinking the tea, nipple stimulation can do, but not sure on the dtd. Feel too uncomfortable, but may have to force myself (if I can talk OH into it). I blame Bunny for me being overdue as she bolded me before my date. (Got to blame someone lol)
  • Hi everyone, sending lots of hugs to tinks, im here if you need someone to talk to. Woke up this morning with my legs hurting, at least i got a bit more sleep. Smartie i now have a image of a pizza baby lol.

Hope you get to put your feet up when you finish work rach.

I have the glucose test mv, had to fast from 11 the night before and i had a blood test and then drunk the lucozade and then two hours later i had another blood test and they gave me a sandwich. Mine came back fine.

  • Can someone explain to me why, at 31 weeks pg, do I still get jealous when someone in RL announces they're pregnant????:o Its really odd!!

Tinks hope you feel better soon and as hard as it may be they're only moaning at you coz they care (((HUGS))) Is there anyone you can talk to?? even if you just let off steam atthe next mw appointment it'll help:) They may even refer you to a counsellor or something:)

(((HUGS))) to those that need them and appropriate *VIBES* to those in need xx
