another thing I haven't been for ever is a cervical smear! that really does scare me which is totally stupid!
Please please please go as soon as they will see you after baby arrives (think its 6 weeks). I've had 2 abnormal smears in the last 5 years. My last one just before I got pregnant (because I'd put it off), unfortunately the results didn't arrive until after my BFP came and now I'm having to have 10 weekly colpolscopies until after baby is born because they can't do a biopsy for risk of miscarriage. I'm trying not to think about it, but do worry.0 -
good luck for your scan later jojo! the same thing happened to me a lady at work was given bad news just a few weeks before i had mine it scared me no end. but everything was fine. and ive got my fingers and toes and everything else crossed for you too! try and relax (easier said than done i know) i ended up being so nervous i didnt pay attention to any of it!! make sure to come back and tell us how it went0

good luck with your first scan jojo
I wonder who's gone and had their baby,? KitKat
Fuzz hope all goes well with your friend!
I had a sweep this morning at the midwife appointment, she said everything looked great and looked really favourable. I was already 2cm's and she doubts I'll need another one, but we'll see how it all goes. According to hubby, she's allowed to come after midnight tonight.0 -
I've had a lovely morning so far with DS. We've made a rocket out of a pringles tube and papier mache, just waiting for it to dry so we can paint, likely to take a week or so the amount of glue DS used. lol
I'm off to see the consultant MW this afternoon to discuss my options about the birth and talk over the possibility of having an elective
Really don't want one, but not sure I can face the stress of another traumatic birth like the first one. Hoping she can lay out my options, explain what happens and advise the best way of getting this baby out.0 -
Good luck with your scan jojo.
Just booked a dentist appointment for next weekAfter not brushing my teeth properly for 3 months and craving sugary things, I'm a bit worried about what he'll say. Decided I can't keep putting it off, espeically with the amount that my gums are bleeding. Must remember to ask for a bucket in case I'm having a sick day
Still no end to my MS (17 weeks today), so now I try and get it over with as soon as possible in the mornings rather than taking things easy and hoping that I won't be sick. I've told DH that if I'm being sick while he's in the room he needs to rub my back as it seems to get things over with quicker (a bit like burping a baby I suppose!). Also dicovered that burp-type wind doesn't want to burp normally any more, it wants to make me heave out a burp IYSWIM. This has lead to several disasters
Sick-free wishes to everyone.
I'm going to stick my head in my work and feel sorry for myself for a few more hours! If having different experiences, thoughts and ideas to you, or having an opinion that you don't understand, makes me a troll, then I am proud to be a 100% crying, talking, sleeping, walking, living Troll. :hello:0 -
aww hngrymummy i hope things get better for you soon. i tried everything to get rid of the morning sickness and to be honest nothing really took it away completely, it just sort of tailed off on its own (cant rem how far along i was - i wish i had of wrote stuff like that down) but i remember thinking how everyone was liars and it definatley doesnt magically disappear at 12 weeks :rotfl:
welsh lassie i wish you were my mum! i never got to do stuff like that in the house! unless it was for a school project or something!0 -
Morning ladies,
Wow, busy few days - Congrats on all the births.
I cant beleive I am next on the list (after the bolded ladies). Still cant beleive I am gonna be a mum soon.
Can I have a quick rant? Am getting mighty fed up with people asking if I have had baby yet, what do they think I am going to do? Have baby and then pretend it hasn't happened. Am also getting the question - any signs? Do they really think if I was having contractions or waters had broken that I would still be at work? Or do my male colleagues really want to know that I have had my show and am getting braxton hicks!!!! Though I did get my own back on my friend who asked if I had, had my little boy yet (shes seen scan pic of his tools). I replied that my baby girl was born at 11 weighing 15lbl. Dopey moo, actually beleived metoo and sent congrats to my family. She is now threatening to buy a drum for his Christmas pressie!
Am also fed up as I didn't want to come back to work today, was hoping bubs would arrived after anice relaxing long weekend. But no such luck for me.
I also am moody as have had constipation / trapped wind for the past few days, which gives me really bad period like pains and back ache.
Anyway, enough of me, feel a bit better for moaning (hate to moan at home as hubby is being an angel at the mo), labour vibes and stay put vibes for all those that need / want them.0 -
Hi everyone, congrats to all the new mummys. I can't believe i only have four weeks now till baby will be here. Its exciting and scary at the same time. I have been getting period pains and pelvis pains. I went to see midwife today who says baby is down in my pelvis, and his head is bouncing around down there. That explains the pains and the need to go to the toilet even more often now. I am very tired today, as on sunday night i managed about a hour of sleep, just couldn't get to sleep and last night i didnt' get much sleep. It doesn't help that the mattress is uncomfortable. We have been looking for a new one, i want one like a marshmellow hehe. I have my driving lesson shortly and then i think i may have a nap. My back has just started to hurt again too.
I had a very nice bank holiday weekend with dh.Married 09/09/090 -

Aww thanks. I don't normally do very much stuff with him like that as I'm in work and he goes to messy play sessions with his dad, but because I'm on the sick atm because of SPD and can't take him to the park or run around with him, I'm trying to find stuff we can do together which involves sitting down and not me chasing him around. Any suggestions from people for other things we can do appreciated.:D0 -
Forgot to say, Rach I also got myself really stressed over the thought of the birth. But I have now come to think, that I am as prepared as I can be, and I am just going to have to go with the flow. Not had many people around me have bad experiences, but I just look at the stats, and think that this baby has been average all the way through so why should the birth be any different. Plus if something does happen, then I will have to deal with it then. Cant worry over every what if.
Hugs and wishes for you Fuzz and your Friend.
hngrymummy, I never had morning sickness, but I had the burp turns to retching thing. Mine went after about 16 weeks, though I hate to say that it is now back (from about 32 weeks)
Sorry if I have missed anything / anyone - had pages and paes to catch up on.0
