Hi all, hope you don't mind but I tried reposting the list as the contraction master timer thingy was missing off the bottom but I can't seem to get the linky to work - could someone with more experience please try this when they are able. :A



I am up and awake as I am either having really strong BH's or got painful wind (sorry tmi!) or I got woken up by real contractions (hopefully not the latter) - but either way - it woke me, I can't get back to sleep and then I started having a panic in my mind about whether it was the real thing or not. so I got up anyway and sitting on the sofa I am still getting them but not as painful as when I was lying down so I am hoping it is just a more serious trial run! And silly me, lying there thinking & hoping it is not the real thing as hubby only came to bed an hour ago and feeling guilty about maybe having to wake him up! :eek::o

Hope you're ok DON - if you gotta wake Dh then wake him and dont feel guilty - how are the pains now?

I'm awake because I am in pain with the biggest boil/abscess/spot on my @rse you ever did see - terrified that I am gonna end up having to have it lanced as I cant see what other way its gonna go

Dreamt I was giving brith last night, was so weird, apparently someone had forgotten to book my c-section and I was overdue and the hospital didn't read my notes till it was too late but I was really relaxed and getting on with it, so strange. If I did go before the c-section date I don't imagine I will be at all relaxed - major panic more like. I think I read too many birth stories yesterday lol

DON hope things calmed down for you and you managed some sleep, its not too early though now is it just unexpected, good luck either way xx

Tigtag that is a rediculous time to be up, hope you got some sleep too.

Got 12 week scan this afternoon, so hopefully should have a due date and then get myself on the list! :j

tigtag ouch that sounds nasty. I've had similar on my thighs...like blocked hair ducts though and they hurt!!!

Got up to DH having left me a sweet little 'i love you' note on my lunchbox! Just killing 5 mins on here before I go for the bus. Took me til about 2am to get off to sleep, with the help of some painkillers, but don't feel too bad this morning. I am taking my 2 hiking sticks with me today to see if it helps at all.

Get some drawing paste from the pharmacy. slap a load on and stick a plaster over it and leave for about 12 hours, clean and redo it (if it hasn't burst already). Its great for drawing out splinters and infections. If it gets too painful or angry looking then you may have to bite the bullet and get it seen to.

Tigtag, I second a hot flannel. Get it as hot as you can manage and slap it on, it's good for drawing out the nasties and also very soothing...
