Tinks: so glad your ok, you had us all worried!
Nene: I'm still here11 days OVERDUE! By the time I have this baby I'll be between 12-15 days overdue! I just cannot believe I've gone this far over! I'm also worried about baby's size... I have some lovely newborn outfits and I am squeezing this baby into them! I've got a really cute hungry caterpillar newborn outfit and I would be gutted if bubs didn't wear it!
By my growth chart (I know they're not accurate) bubs is predicted at 9lbs 12oz!!!
Really feel like my body is struggling, am constantly in pain, struggle to just walk, and all my joints keep clicking with every movement
Gota go through my hospital bags today make sure I've got everything ready, really hope I'm not in too long, tomorrows the big day!0 -
Thanks lilian
I have a 25 week m/wife appt booked with my GP for Oct 1st so I shall ask about it then.
Do you also get your MAT certificate thingy then too, is it called MAT 1B or something?
My bump has got decidedly more bump-like in the last couple of daysMetranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0 -

Thanks...yep I think you need to give a copy of the MAT cert to your HR dept when you go in to discuss maternity leave. I'm dreading it as our HR director is a bit of a monster.
I have posted a couple of bump pics, but will do a new one at the w/e.

I don't have an hr department. We're just 12 people. I will try and post mine up too. I keep promising.
I love my bump too. It's small, but it's starting to cause me grief at night. I used a pillow last night (felt a bit silly being it's so small) but I think it did actually help.Baby Giz born 6/2/110 -

MATB1 - you don't need to provide this when you give your leave details, it just has to be given within 21 days of the start of your SMP period:
SPM20510 - Statutory Maternity Pay (SMP) – Medical evidence
Time limits for producing evidence for pay and leave
The employee must produce medical evidence of the date the baby is due (the EWC). Although a birth certificate is acceptable as proof that a baby has been born, the employer still needs evidence of the date the baby was due, in order to check that the employee satisfies the continuous employment rule and to calculate the average weekly earnings.
Normally the evidence of the EWC is on MAT B1 but other medical evidence is acceptable providing it shows the date the baby is due. It cannot be issued before the start of the 20th week before the EWC and must be given to the employer within 21 days from the start of the SMP pay period unless there is good reason for the evidence being produced late.

Thanks Lilian - I didn't know that. I always thought it was need for when you give your maternity leave.
I take it work just look at the MATB1 form? As I guess my hubby will need it too for his paternity leave?Baby Giz born 6/2/110 -
Well our midwife said it couldn't hurt to take it for his paternity leave, but I think he can just self-certify:
How and when to claim
To claim Statutory Paternity Pay you must tell your employer when you intend to take leave by the 15th week before your baby is due, or within seven days of your wife, partner or civil partner being told by the adoption agency that they've been matched with a child.
If you change your mind you must give 28 days' notice.
Your employer might ask you for self-certificate form SC3 becoming a parent that confirms you're entitled to the pay.

9Ib 6ozA really nice weight acutally, she wasn't little and scraggy like the other babies in the ward but not huge either, just a really nice size, hope this bubs will be the same.
