Right, ladies, I think I'm done with work for the day. Not bothering to call in, i'll just check my emails later and keep my phone on. I've not really stopped (apart from to come on here!!) since 8.30am and I worked 10 hours yesterday :eek:

I am going to have a bath and then chill Could do with nipping to M&S for something to go with quiche for dinner but v tempting to get DH to go after work.

sir m- glad doppler was ok and you can at least wait til tomorrow.

Kitkat - we have the hungry caterpillar sleepsuit in newborn too - its sooo cute! I don't think it looks that small for newborn though so hopefully will be OK. The only newborn things I've bought are from the car boot so I don't find if they don't fit - but we do have some outfits bought by OH's DDs and I haven't taken the tags off cos I'm paranoid they won't fit!

I think our HVs see you until after baby is born here, certainly no-one has tried to visit me yet.

So glad to hear baby is staying put Tinks. Good luck for MLSL - whatpain relief are you planning on (just wonder about being induced).

I had my 28 week appointment this morning and my bump was measuring at exactly my dates. They did a scan and said head and abdomen were measuring at exactly my dates and the femur was a big bigger, but the baby was moving so much he said it wouldn't be very accurate. He said the baby is approximately 3 lb.

Everything else was normal (BP, etc). Oh how good it is to hear the word normal (Sad!)

Forgot to say glad baby is staying put Tinks! I know the problem tenant is a stressful situation but try to put it out of your mind as much as you can and let your OH deal with it all. Being stressed won't do you or baby any good (nor will it actually make any difference to the situation itself). xx

This taking it easy thing is just not in me :o

We have been given huge bags of clothes that my mum & DD washed and dried for me yesterday so I am sat sorting them into size & boxing them up. Trying to keep out of mischief

DH thinks that we should not go away this weekend to stay with his best friends in welshpool. I think it would do him the world of good. And it's not as if they don't have hospitals in wales!

I think the break would do us both the world of good.

My friend has drawn up the court papers for us so that is one less thing to stress about. I just hope the whole process doesn't drag on for forever.:o

Due to be induced tomorrow as will be 12 days overdue and probably a really stupid question, but will I be induced on a ward with Mothers and babies?

I am so scared that this will go wrong, I have already lost 3 for no reason 1 early Mc 1 Blighted Ovum found at 13 weeks and an ectopic (no reason for ectopic as have none of the history that would make this likely). If it all goes wrong again and as he is so late I can't shake the feeling that there is something wrong. I can't face being surrounded by babies and am just dreading it. I am even thinking of turning down the induction and being monitored instead, but then am scared that if he is fine, then this could hurt him by not gettting him out now. Although if I listened to the DHL man I have already jinxed him by having my pram delivered.

Don't know what to do and sorry for being so pessimistic.

CL last time I went ten days early on my own, managed on gas and air and got given pethidine 10 minutes before he arrived which just made him really sleepy so I was going to try to do without it this time. I'm
keeping an open mind starting with paracetamol and Tens and I'll see where we go from there, really want to avoid epidural as I hate needles and would have to stay in longer, I'm hoping is baby is born overnight ( I'm 2 cm and favourable have had two sweeps and lost my plug so midwife thinks 1 gel should do the job ) I would like to get out tomorow morning but we'll see how things go

Pink Mexican sorry to hear of your previous losses but you've never made it this far before so that's a positive. Four of us are getting induced today or tomorrow so I wouldn't worry it seems a pretty run of the mill thing. As far as I know you'll be in a ward with other pregnant ladies until to get to 4 cm or the pain is too much then you will go to delivery room then when you have successfully delivered ( and you will, think positive ) you'll be on the mummy and baby ward !!! Good luck for tomorrow, keep positive it will make it a better experience. I felt really down about my inducton yesterday but had a good nights sleep and now I know I'll have a baby by the weekend even I'd I have to get a section ( which terrifies me ) I'll get through it and so will you

First of all :mad: to your stupid DHL man!

I don't know the answer, I've never been induced but all the odds are in your favour if you've got this far so as hard as it is try to stay positive - the best thing you can do for baby is to try to be as relaxed and positive as you can and I know that's a hell of a lot easier said than done!
There are lots of ladies here who have been/ are about to be induced and you just need to think of it as a temporary thing and before you know it you'll be getting cuddles from your beautiful new baby.
