are they in the sale? If so i'd take them back and rebuy them at the cheaper price (if you've got the tags!)Baby Giz born 6/2/110

Morning all, we don't see a HV in pregnancy round here - they come out to do a visit once midwife has stopped visiting after the birth and then give us details of the baby clinic where we can go to get baby weighed.
I'm officially all ready for baby - the car seat was delivered yesterday, these last 3 weeks are going to drag I reckon.
Rach - my sickness absence is horrendous as I had appendicitis and about 8 weeks off work from 20 weeks pregnant. I'm not too worried though as its worked out on a rolling 12 mths and obviously by the time I'm back at work it will have cleared itself.0 -
Giz, if they've still got the labels on then you could take them back for a refund and then rebuy them again?
Make sure you have the reciept though, otherwise they can only give you the sale price back...
I hate when that happens though!A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Rach, I wouldn't worry too much about HV being around all the time. Mine only came to the house three times, and now if we need anything, it's a case of ringing her up. There's also the baby weighing clinic where you can also ask them stuff if need be.
All she really did was weigh and measure Sophie and ask a couple of questions like 'how are you finding it?', they also get you to fill out a really basic little quiz to determine your mental state, with really dumb questions on it :rotfl:Hope that helps anyway.

I wonder how KitKat is and if she's popped yet. I'm still here, 5 days in. still no twinges
The funny thing is though that I'm complaining now but I'll more than likely be complaining more when she's on her way out :rotfl:
Anyone who's had a baby that's gone overdue, how much did they weigh when they finally came out? What's yours is mine and what's mine is mine..0 -
The HV wasn't nosey or anything that came to me, they never offered me advice unless I asked something, just weighed baby and marked the charts in their red book. When I had DS she also gave me a huge list of all the playgroups, baby bounce and rhyme times and another list with loads of useful local numbers on. There was the silly questionnaire about how you feel but not sure if they still do that.0

Morning Lady Bumps
I am still here thank god and little madam is still tucked up in bump :j
After a 7 hour stay on the labour ward they were happy my waters hadn't gone and that the contractions weren't for now bringing on labour :j I have been given the all clear as far as they can give me for the next 14 days
I also have ketones in my urine and they are worried that baby is not growing so being sent for a growth scan & to see the consultant on 8th Sept.
They managed on the 4th attempt to get blood out but the only place they could find a vein was my hand. I had a pants night as they had attacked both my arms before they settled on my hand. Now left with very attractive bruises
So glad that waters are in place as was told that if they had gone then I would have been ambulanced to another hospital as Exeter have no SCBU cots available and they are packed due to holiday makers etc and the time of year
I have been told to rest and chill and stop stressing and to eat
I hope everyone is well . Thank you all for your support & kind messages. :AIf you can think it........it will happen0 -
