While you are on maternity, you still build up holiday, so if you don't go back, it can be a nice little windfall at the end - an extra month's wages for free is nice :) Amazingly, my HR department actually told me not to hand in my notice til the end of the year because of it (I was honest and told them I wasn't going back) they sent the form back to me and told me to change it to "haven't decided yet" because of the holiday.

Claire, I really hope your scan comes back ok, it must be so stressful with DH not knowing - could you phone him and tell him? Would it help?

I don't have an HR department - we are only a company of about 12 people. So I need to know my facts so I can tell them what I'm entitled to IYSWIM. Ignoring maternity - if one was to leave a company and hadn't taken all their earnt holiday are they entitled to be paid for the holiday not taken? I know when I worked at Tesco this was the case...but being a huge company everything seems to be done more by the book.

My plan is to say I am coming back - I don't want to cut my nose off - just in case I struggle to find another job - I couldn't afford not to be earning. But I am hoping not to come back.

    morning,

hope Tinks is okay, will keep popping on to see if she's posted. Hopefully she's just at work and can't get on.

Well, I'm now 7 days overdue and still not showing any sign. Think I'll try and hang on for that September baby now! Hubby told me last night he wasn't ready just yet, just give him a few more days! WHAT!!!!!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

When will this sickness stop :(

Any advice would be greatly appreciated (by myself and DH!).

It's better than it was, but still once or twice a day. If it's not gone by my MW apointment (2 weeks) I'll ask her as I'll be 18 weeks then.

Sorry for the grump. Just fed up with it now.

Hope you're all feeling better than me :o

  • Labour vibes to all those overdue. Hope FQ's c/section is going OK. When will they induce you Courgette?? LOL re your DH not being ready, I don't think I am quite yet. As you want a September bubs I'm hoping they don't bring things forward into August for me!

I'm 10 days overdue  there really is no sign of this baby coming of it's own accord. I would like to hang on until September like you Courgette but as I have low oxygen levels my MW wasn't supposed to let me go over due :( stupid MW.

I've now started panicking about my hospital bags, I've packed v minimal as I was expecting 6 hour discharge from local birth centre, now I'm going to other hospital I think I'll be in from Friday until Monday at least so I'll need more pjs, etc. Also had a panic as all I've packed for baby is newborn size, baby is measuring big and will be 2 weeks overdue so now I've packed 0-3 months sleepsuits/ cardie aswell. I'm going to have too much stuff!!!

Sweep today, I'm feeling v sore and achey, I hope it doesn't hurt :(

It's our hospial's policy to induce at 13 days over but I will be fighting that very strongly - I always thought the date they gave me at the dating scan was too early. I'm booked in for a homebirth and I've been really looking forward to it and have spent bloody ages cleaning the house to make it really lovely and welcoming. I must admit I am starting to slightly worry now, not because I think there's anything wrong with the baby but because I don't want to be in conflict with my caregivers at this special time.

If the SPD wasn't so bad at the mo (been severely aggravated by the amount of cleaning I've been doing) I'd go for a massive hike. Did try to persuade hubby we should start dtd again but I don't know which one of us was most freaked out at the thought of this!

    Morning Lady Bumps :D

Still here...........Still having contractions  My DD ran a fab bath for me so I had a long wallow seemed to make no difference. By the end of last night I was in agony :o No idea what is going on but just trying to get on and get things sorted. It's far too early at 27 weeks for this little lady top arrive. :o

The other thing I have is a really painful belly button???? What the hell is all that about? :o

Another question of the day has anyone found a good pair of black opague maternity tights????

Hugs Labour Vibes & Stay put Vibes to all those in need. Please take as required :A
If you can think it........it will happen
