Tinks - what the other's above said. Don't take any chances, hope all is well X
Oxo - so sorry about your letterMy friend here at work had the amnio a few weeks ago as she had a high risk of Downs, and all came back as fine. She said the amnio was a bit unpleasant but nothing too horrendous. Please talk to your OH asap so he can share the burden with you. Will be thinking of you tomorrow x
Hope everyone else is ok today. It took me 2 and a half hours to get into work today as all the trains were cancelled from my local station
Had to walk all the way home again (15mins uphill) so OH could drive me another station. Feeling knackered and exhausted now.Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0 -

Tink - get in touch with L&D! And good luck.
Giz - you are definitely entitled to your holidays:
Your employment terms, for example your pension contributions and holiday entitlement, are protected while you are on Statutory Maternity Leave. If you are made redundant while on Statutory Maternity Leave you also have extra rights. Find out more about your employment rights during Statutory Maternity Leave.
You can claim Statutory Mat Pay even if you're not intending to return to work, and you've told them that - so your benefits are protected regardless.

Just called the hospital as I haven't had my blood test results back - she said she couldn't give them to me without my hospital number, so I asked her to just check that they'd definitely had the results back and they weren't lost, which she did, and said that there was nothing to worry about on them but if I wanted details to call back with my hospital number. Will probably still call tomorrow when I have the number from home, but so glad there's nothing to worry aboutMy debt free diary | Post Office loan: £2131 1429.38 | Barclaycard: £4429 1988.12 | Paypal Credit £322.71 574.91 | Monzo Flex £169.03 |

Kitkat i took two paracetamol before yestedays sweep, it helped with the discomfort a bit
cramps last night and today but no contraction looks like induction tomorrow, I just hope they are not busy and leave me for hours, would rather get it over and done with ever though I'm pooping myself. Woke up last night in a panic thinking I'll have the baby before the weekends over - everythings ready I'm just panicking about the birth now !!
Re hospital bag I'm just leaving mine as it is if I need anything else someone can bring it in - otherwise I'll have far too much stuffBusy mum of 3, so if my posts don't make sense or ask a silly question be patient:rotfl:0 -
Tinkwings –I’d be really concerned by now if contractions weren’t abating. I’d call MW again and say you want to go to hospital just to get checked out/monitored.
Courgette – I think my dating scan has put me too far ahead too, I told MW and she said lets just wait and see who’s right – but not sure what that will mean at the end.
Gizmodo, as Rach said you use a wet bag when out and about for reusable nappies, no idea about how smelly it will get – I understand you can just throw it in the wash with the nappies when you get home – will let you know in 5 months time!We Made-it-3 on 28/01/11 with birth of our gorgeous DD.0 -

Sproglet *wanted* an egg buttie, so I popped over the road to the burger van, only to discover that they were on holiday this week. Noooo. By this time, I had decided that I WAS having an egg buttie whatever it took, so went on a 15 min walk to hunt one down. Just had the tastiest egg buttie ever. (I'm sure it probably wasn't fabulous, but to me right now it was amazing.).
Baby feels happier, so now I feel happier (aside from the hiccups). :j
Sticky vibes to tink. And labour vibes to those who need em.If having different experiences, thoughts and ideas to you, or having an opinion that you don't understand, makes me a troll, then I am proud to be a 100% crying, talking, sleeping, walking, living Troll. :hello:0 -

^^^ this. I have a couple of wet bags - they keep all smells etc locked away, and when we get home, nappies go in the bucket as normal and the bag goes in as well. No worse than disposables, most of the time you'd have to take them home with you as well, unless you happen to be somewhere with a nappy bin.0
