    Thanks everyone for your support.

I'm feeling ok actually all things considered...just need to try and keep busy and stay away from evil Google! The odds are still very much in our favour so trying to stay positive. Sooo glad they are going to see me tomorrow tho as my routine anomoly scan isn't until the 24th of September (21+2) and I couldn't bear to wait that long for more info.

Don't want to try and explain everything to DH on the phone but will tell him when I get in...feel really silly for not doing it yesterday and he would be gutted to know I didn't tell him to spare his feelings. He doesn't work on Thurdays so he will be around for the hospital appointment.

Sorry, can't remember who asked...I didn't get offered a nuchal translucency scan, just the triple test which showed the high AFP (alphafetoprotein).

Glad I'm not the only one feeling like this Courgette, I feel v anti social too, I just don't want to see any of my friends but I guess it's mainly as they keep saying 'haven't you had it yet' and it makes me feel like screaming!

MLSL: thanks for the tip. I went for my sweep, was a bit uncomfortable. MW said I was now 2cm dialated and my cervix was much more favourable! So that's good. The only thing that seems to help is DTD. I have found it so hard doing this but it's encouraging to think it is making some difference. OH was moaning we should have started doing it more intensly weeks ago but I haven't felt like it.

Feel v achey and crampy after sweep, don't expect anything will happen tho. I think I've sorted baby clothes/ etc in hospital bag. Looks like a lot of stuff for a few days but it's mainly baby's stuff.

Thanks Lilian. Sorry to keep going on. So if say my mat leave was from (just hypothetically) 1st January 2011 to 1st January 2012 and I was allowed to tack on say 3 weeks holiday on the end, making it about 21st Jan. If I was to hand my notice in on Dec 1st, would that mean I would still get the 3 weeks paid holiday (at my normal salary)?

I just picked up my Bounty bag - it's really good :) Very chuffed with it.

I'm starting to get some aches/pains under my bump. I can't figure out if it's from my jeans being too tight, constipation or my pelvis growing/moving whatever. Does it sound normal? I see a consultant in a week so I can bring it up then. It also hurts if say I'm bent over the sink brushing my teeth...maybe it's a posture thing?

Going to Mamas and Papas tonight. Not had too much luck with my ebay purchases of maternity clothes so think I might get myself some comfortable jeans if I can.

Sorry for jumping in again ladies :D
Just wanted to say Kit Kat I was only a week overdue with my DD and I can totally sympathise with you. I just wanted to say the fact that you are dilated is great news, they took me in to induce me on my due date (high blood pressure) but she just wasn't ready to be born, I wasn't even dilated and they kept shoving the gel up me like it was going out of fashion:o so if you do have to get induced (and lets hope you just start yourself) it hopefully wont be too long until your bubs is born :)

Everyone advised me to dtd as well but it I couldn't even contemplate it, far too painful :o Take care and good luck to all you ladies ready for your little bundles of love xx

    Hi Ladies (and Gentlemen?)

Just popping over to say hello from < 12 weeks. Had my scan this morning, all went well and they have dated me at 12 + 4, making baby due 5th March. All went well with scan, got a little wriggler in there, the poor lady couldnt get measurements at first as the little monkey kept moving about lol.

Anyway just thought Id pop over to say hi, probably going to lurk between both threads for now but Im off to egypt next week for 2 weeks so will be nearly 16 weeks when I get back and will probably join properly then. Hope everyone is well!

Hi all, just had my asda shopping delivered and what's the one thing they haven't delivered which I could do with - paracetemol!! typical! I am sure they could have substituted it with another brand or type but noooo! just as well I am not in as much pain as I was and it is getting better.

Claire, just wanted to send some hugs. I had the Nuchal scan and they found we had a 1/80 chance of downs syndrome but honestly, have managed to forget all about that because baby is well and healthy throughout pregnancy so far. Yes its a bit of a worry but so often they have to warn you about these "potential" health issues just to protect their own interests/so they can say they have warned you of the potential risk. Hope it all goes well with you for tomorrow. :)

stay put & labour vibes for those who need them :D

Thanks Teenie :) it's encouraging to know things are actually progressing, felt like nothing was happening! DTD is the hardest thing ATM, I stupidly ranted at OH we would do it daily until this baby comes and I just find it so painful! At least it's helping tho and keeping my OH happy as after this weekend I don't think I'll go anywhere near him for a while lol!

Welcome Due March! Wishing you well over the next coming months!

MLSL: incase I forget to say later, good luck for tomorrow, feel like I've been through TTC and whole of pregnancy with you :) can't wait to hear all about your baby and see pics :) hope labour is quick and pain free! all the best and don't forget to keep us all posted, will be thinking of you xxx

She is in the best place now for them to do a proper check, I just really hope they can stop it, far too much of a queue jump.
