Thanks Courgette! I actually woke in the night panicking about baby clothes! I know to save space I could just whip the newborn stuff out but I'm the same as you thinking what cute bits I've packed! If I can squeeze the baby into them I will. I know people say after 40 weeks the baby stops growing and just gains fat, I really feel I've got a lot bigger since I hit 40 weeks.
I'm not sure feeling uncomfortable being a sign, I've defo felt worse since going past 40 weeks, in mind and body! My joints now all click with every movement, every part of my body aches, and sorry if tmi but my foof hurts so much. I just think as I'm so short and small my body cannot cope, really feel it might collapse with the extra weight!

oxclairexo - please please try not to worry and stress yourself out (which I know is easier said than done!) the AFP test can be so sensitive - a slight difference in dates can make it so much less accurate, as can the mothers age (the older you are the less accurate it is) with DD2 I had a raised AFP and she was at increased risk of Downs, I stressed and worried so much about it! I never got my detailed scan until about 23 weeks - so had to wait a long time to get more info, we lived in a fairly remote part of scotland at that point. We had refused an amnio because of the risk of miscarriage (had suffered 2 previously and had waited a long time to get pg with DD2), I think possibly we had been forgotten about tbh. At the detailed scan they were not able to rule out downs completely but were able to tell us that all her major organs were fine and that she looked as 'perfect' as they could see, I am not sure - but I think they are more clear with spina bifida on the scan. DD2 was born absolutely fine. We decided this time not to have the AFP and we will see what the scan at 20 weeks brings, I just felt that it can be so inaccurate - I am 6 years older than the last time, and also am not sure at all how accurate my due date is, due to this being unplanned I have no idea when my last AF was  and I really didn't need the stress - my 2 DD's give me enough of that already:rotfl:
Please try not to worry - as I said I know how difficult that it can be, and how much easier it is for me to say than for you to do! If I can be anymore help then please feel free to PM me. I remember the phone call I got as clear as yesterday and how devastated I felt..... and now she is a horror!DD1 - May 02 8lbs 6oz
DD2 - June 05 10lbs 6oz
DD3 - 24th Jan 11 7lbs 9oz

I feel exactly the same, physically I can still feel my skin stretching so I know I'm still getting bigger and emotionally I've been feeling more and more fragile. As anti-social as it sounds I just don't want to talk to anyone. My bits hurt too, I don't remember this from DS at all. And when I walk I am just soooooo slooooow, it make sme wonder why I bother! It's silly to be getting this anxious though isn't it, this time next week we'll both be mummies (which is also terrifying )Updating soon...0 -

Have you had GTT? Ketones can be linked to Gest Diabetes but I'd had the test 2 days before so knew I was ok.
If you have not had GTT or do not think you can see an obvious reason for it, then yup, I'd make an appt
I had the GTT last week at the results were 5 for both tests xx thing I will call my own midwife fir reassurance xx
Thanks girls
Courgette - did you say the LGI let you go 13 days over?
Claire - have you had a nuchal scan or just the triple test? Please try not to worry
Tinks - take care, rest and keep in contact with you MW
Appropriate vibes to those in need and hugs to all

To be honest Tinks I'd be ringing the L&D ward to go there and get them to make sure everything is all right. If you are in labour then they need to stop it. Good Luck. What's yours is mine and what's mine is mine..0

tinks I agree with Nene, they will be able to monitor you and tell you if they are contractions, and if they are then they will be able to stop them.
On a positive note last year there was an early arrival, Elle_gee had Rhys at 31 weeks, and he is most definitely a happy healthy boy, despite his early appearance.DS1 arrived 22/02/11! 8lb3oz

I agree, I'd be asking to be seen at the hospital - I'd have thought they would want to check on you because there are things they can do if it is labour to try and stop it or at least postpone it a bit longer and the longer the baby is in the better. Ignore the tenant situation it won't be helping you and it'll get sorted in the end, let OH deal with that.
Claire I've had an amnio due to increased risk of downs with my first and it is a worry when you first get a call that something may not be as expected. Are you able to tell someone at work so they understand if you are a bit off and can't concentrate? My work were fantastic at the time.0 -
