Thanks PP and Nene, just took it as fact, its weird the amount of old wives tales that are about. Wouldn't actually mind queue jumping at mo as getting more and more irritable. Think I may leave work eary today and go for a nice long walk, have a bounce on my ball and a bath - all these seem to sort my back ache out and calm bubs down!!!!! I reckon my colleagues think I am losing it, as I keep shouting at flump to pack it in! lol

Forgot to add, Rach cant comment on the TENS machine, as I have followed Smartie and bought the one from Lloyds Pharmacy. I didn't go with hiring, as I know I would be a nightmare with returning it on time.
  • Gizmodo - I went to Toys R Us last night and they brought the car seat out to demo it in my car and showed me how to attach and use there. Just a thought if you have one near you??

    Going back to lurkdom now.......

Not that I'm aware of, but I'm planning to travel further afield to visit a mothercare superstore at some point, so I could see if there's one in the same area. Thanks for the tip.

//edit - There's one in Reading...we're off there to the mothercare soon, so could combine it with that visit.

giz re carseats, i wrote this on the post that went astray!

Lady at work who deals with road safety etc says the rule is TRY BEFORE YOU BUY and if they won't help you do that take your business elsewhere. halfords do train staff to fit them but it needs to work for you!

Rach - Csections they just let your waters go when you are having the section, sounds like a bucket of water being sloshed over the floor lol. At least thats what happened for me, I had mine at Calderdale hosp in Halifax.

  • Giz i would send them an email as i got my voucher about 2 weeks after i joined, but they forgot to send me a replacement advantage card. so i emailed them and they sent the card out within about 4 days. yep you have to buy a pack of newborn nappies which cost me £3.73 (i will be using disposables so i didnt really mind) but if you arent using them i definately think its worth it to buy them for the bag, then i suppose you could give them to someone who would be using them.

Thanks. Sounds like the boots bag is the one to get out of all of them. I will send an email. Thanks.

  • Hello ladies & bumps,

I am currently 41+2, I could have had a sweep today, tomorrow and thurs, but I have so far said no and am just waiting for it to start naturally, although if nothing happens by Friday they will take me in anyway.

Am I mad should I have gone for the sweeps?

Has anyone gone into labour naturally after no symptoms? All I have is irregular BH's no other symptoms.

Also is it usual to be left without any check ups from 39+5 til I go into be induced?

    Hi pinkmexican

On my green notes it says that I should go to see the MW at 38, 40 and 41 weeks, so I would guess you're due at least one more?
