Money_Grabber13579, I wouldn't expect a free phone, however, I used to be with smartpanel and then mobilexpressions in terms of being rewarded for an app running on my Nokia for useage and I'd never heard of Neilson's so I thought I'd look it up.

Good luck with the N8's - I don't think its a scam IMO - I think that Nokia has to put their phones out their and monitor how their phones are used and compare it against the competition in order to gain any further smartphone market share.

Neilson is actually a huge customer research company and thousands of companies use them for gaining public opinion about their products. The idea with this is that Nokia can can information about what features customers use and what they don't, and so will shape the future models they produce. I've got £40 in vouchers so far from them, just for using the software over the past year.

That's ok, just as long as you weren't expecting anything like an N8!;) The offer of £50 a year in vouchers is still quite good though!

Like some of the rest of you I've received the original invite and then the confirmation. Also, like the rest of you, I've had a lack of e-mails from Neilsen. They did state in the original invite that we'd get them before general release. Seeing that's only a week or so away I thought I'd give them a buzz. When I finally got through to them the operator and went through the usual checks (felt like I had a stalker!), which confirmed that I was on the programme, I was thankfully informed that some handsets had been sent out this week and the rest we're due to go out next week. Again no info on delivery times so I'll more than likely have a little orange slip from the post office through my door.

Good luck all. Hopefully we receive them shortly and hopefully some of you will post back here with what you think of the N8 and which garish colour you receive!!

Sorry to rain on your parade (and Neilsons) but the N8 is not being released until mid October. So someones telling porkies.

So you would prohibit Nokia from giving Neilson any N8's before the release date, in order to distribute them for customer research purposes? Especially when one of the perks of the program was that applicants would receive them before release in the shops?

The release date is still the end of September according to Nokia, so it's more like you're telling porkies!
