Ah, thanks. So it appears that I didn't get reply to my e-mail, but that my device has been shipped anyway. That's good enough for me!:D

I'm another impatient Nielsen N8 programme particpant who is eagerly awaiting my new phone. My old 5800 has had better days and I can't wait to get my hands on this new toy. There's loads of great videos on youtube from Nokia World about the N8. Make sure you check out some of them especially the Plug and Touch app that is in development. Not sure how useful it will be but it certainly shows the scope of what this phone can do.

Like some of the rest of you I've received the original invite and then the confirmation. Also, like the rest of you, I've had a lack of e-mails from Neilsen. They did state in the original invite that we'd get them before general release. Seeing that's only a week or so away I thought I'd give them a buzz. When I finally got through to them the operator and went through the usual checks (felt like I had a stalker!), which confirmed that I was on the programme, I was thankfully informed that some handsets had been sent out this week and the rest we're due to go out next week. Again no info on delivery times so I'll more than likely have a little orange slip from the post office through my door.

Good luck all. Hopefully we receive them shortly and hopefully some of you will post back here with what you think of the N8 and which garish colour you receive!!

You'll have to already have a Nokia smartphone in order to sign up, and it's pretty much certain that you won't get offered an N8 as a result of signing up now. I've been a member for 18 months and this is the first time I've ever been offered anything.

I should be very surprised if this wasn`t a scam.
The N8 isnt being issued for at least another two weeks.
p.s. nothings for nothing! So Long Suckers;)

Don't be to sure of that Freddieboy. I've been with Neilsen for some time now and they've always held up to the offers they've put my way. If in doubt use their software on your Nokia smartphone and reap the rewards!

I`ve been a Nokia user for years and I`ve never heard of Neilson.
The Nokia Finland webpage says that N8 has been delayed until mid October.
I have pre-ordered the N8 on 8/8/10.
I really cant see how anyone can give away a £400 phone when theres already a worldwide waiting list of millions ready to pay.
I`m still unconvinced, but good luck to you all because you`re going to need it! regards FW
