Brilliant! So again, Nokia were going to send out a phone that the software wasn't stable on.
My N97 has been a nightmare from Day1 and has many firmware updates, but still isn't right.
Sounds like their software testing department has found a few issues.0 -
Just called Neilsen again. They weren't aware of the delay in Nokia N8 being sent out. The lady I spoke to didn't know if they were going to be sent from Nokia direct or from them.
So still waiting, but not really expecting the Nokia N8 now until October.0 -

Latest from Nokia, Espoo, Finland.ESPOO, Finland – There have been a few stories this morning about the N8 availability which we feel need clarification. As we have previously said, we still expect to start the shipments by the end of the third quarter. As with every global launch, when the device reaches the hand of the customer will vary by market and operator.
We have received a record number of online pre-orders for the Nokia N8. We had targeted our online pre-order customers to receive their N8s by the end of September. As it can take time from the beginning of shipment to arriving at their doorstep, in full transparency, we have advised our pre-order customers that they should expect their new Nokia N8 in October.0 -
Is it anyone else or does it look like Nokia haven't actually made enough of the N8 handsets to meet with pre-order demand let alone demand on release!!! That's what all their press releases point to rather than a software change.
Great for Nokia but really frustrating for everyone looking at getting their mitts on a N8!0 -

Been waiting for months. Nokia will overdo it if they`re not careful. Prospective buyers have been messed around for weeks, and some wont bother to hang around for much longer.0 -

Nokia has been relying on this phone to boost their flagging reputation, and it wouldnt be in their interest to delay it on purpose.0 -
