    just started the ringing around...

Motability won't help, RSA Motability won't help.

I asked for information on my legal help on my policy, they said it won't cover, i asked for the number so i could ask for that myself.

I need to get hold of the consultant/secretary and get that report he wrote, the line is still voice mail telling me there are still updating the phone system, so trying to get through to BRAMS to get there help in this.

Looking at one of my letters from the consultant i notice this.. dated 11th May, after the appointment with consultant who said yes to driving.

'I think her level of cognition is presently ok to support safe driving'

glad i found that little gem, i have be it very small, something in writing confirming what he said to me.

Im sorry that you found my post offensive, it certainly wasnt meant as such but as support and information to muppette as to how to get her licence back.

Thank you for replying and I really hope my post didn't offend you.

I'm glad you didn't mean it in that way and had thought it unlikely that you did, but I always worry that other people without any knowledge of disabilities read things like this and they can add to a false impression that everything can be fixed. So it wasn't that I found your post offensive but that I was worried that someone else who read it might then think something that would be offensive, if you see what I mean (I know I'm not explaining myself very well....).

What a sad story. I do hope that aids your case and you have success in getting DVLA to reverse their decision.

That's a phrase the police use when referring to information from a dodgy (or even non-existent) informant.

What was the source of this 'information' and what was it exactly?

tonight you are my shining light thank you.

    my driving is my lifeline.

Dial are not available today, i did ring earlier, but i will ring them monday to try and arrange an assessment.

    Maybe driving is your lifeline.
If you aren't fit to drive though, it could be someones death sentence.

I realise it may be tough for you, but if there are any doubts from anyone about your fitness to drive, you should not be allowed behind the wheel.

Totally agree with you, if there was any risk that my driving was a danger, to me and / or others i would stop like a shot.

But the consultant has stated in black and white that he supports me,
Fortunately for me, a wonderful MS Nurse has been on the phone and will be able with the consultant to look at who made reports on me and what was said, and also contact dvla and ask for a more detailed explanation to what they have given me.

Hope you get it sorted soon. An assessment centre may well be best option as they will clearly be able to test if you are still safe and back up consultant and reassure you whichever way it is as I for one would be worried about every version of what if ?????

I'd be struggling big time if I couldnt drive though currently having to limit my driving to short distances as would hate to take risks. Mine is currently due to an infection so nothing long term. I feel so much for you.
