I wouldn't mind that, shows that i would need to be seen once a year to check that i am capable.

No one from DVLA has asked about my memory 'issue'
the consultant must have made me sound bad, which i feel isnt affecting my driving.

Your signature here may not help if you do appeal. You'd be surprised at how much the authorities look into some issues and it is just a thought but suggesting you might 'forget things' is not a good place to be if you are driving a car.

There is no difference driving a car or a scooter on the road..in fact i would have thought riding a scooter would be more of a hazard than a car...surely if the dvla revoke a licence that would extend to all vehicles anyway? This is just an observation and not meant to reflect on the posters abilities to drive in any way ..Best course of action has to be to try and get the consultant onside..take into account though that scans taken in the past showing plaques are irrefutable evidence and have probably formed part of the decision.the consultant would be failing in his duty were he not to reveal all evidence and would also be leaving himself open to prosecution should a serious accident occur..maybe this is for the best even though at the moment things are quite raw with you..good luck anyways.

When i saw the consultant a few months back he was all for me to continue to drive, he asked did i have any problems driving, i told him honestly that i don't, not been in an accident, not caused an accident. He said he would be fully supportive.

Yes I do feel quite raw with this, oh well last day today, then i will be hanging up the keys. I do not intend to drive again after today, until i am told i am allowed.

Do you even need a licence for a scooter? I know you don't need an eye test.

you dont need to hang up your keys you need to phone the assesment centre they will test all apects of driving simulated in a room then a reaction test then they will be able to ask for your licence to be made to allow you to drive on the road under instruction (like you did when you was learning) when they think you are compitant with any adaptions needed for the car they will give you a test (like when you did your test but no theory) then they give you a letter to send to the dvla to get your licence back.they also send letters to your gp and cosultants and anyone else involved in your care...all this was FREE for me ..you just seem to be taking it and rolling over ...DONT GIVE UP phone them TODAY!
