Marmite is packed with vitamins & minerals although very salty. No idea about Bovil, I tried it once & spat it out:o I won't share a house with it:p Or cabbage:p But I do like parsnips:D

PS : my tip is a very very thin speard of marmite on a wholemeal roll dunked into veggie or lentil soup! Yummy!

Is that parsnips roasted in marmite? :)
  • DD & I both like Marmite. Use Bovril sometimes in a stew or in boiling water as a runny soup if not feeling too well. I think Marmite is more nutricious though:confused:

Roasted parsnips are my favourite too. I could eat these all day:D

I got a nice surprise the other day when it was pointed out to me that Bovril is veggie now so I can eat it... however I just looked at their website (sad I know!) and have found out that it won't be for much longer..

I was always under the impression that Bovril was a beef extract drink. What exactly is it made of ? I'm betting it isn't as natural a product as Marmite.

Bovril all the way. Had no idea they changed the recipe, it's always tasted the same.
