Has anyone been receiving junk emails from Groupon with additional offers?

I didn't get my 2 codes for photobox, or any email regarding my comlaint to them, but low and behold, junk email by the bucket despite unsubsrcibing THREE times.

What the hell are these guys up to?!
If Groupon has anyone watching these forums....

    STOP SENDING ME JUNK EMAIL!!!
YOU STUFFED UP THIS OFFER FOR ME AND I NEVER WANT TO USE YOU AGAIN!!

I've had this problem too and had unsubscribed numerous times but was still receiving their annoying offers. In the end I emailed them direct and got an email back yesterday from someone saying that I had been successfully unsubscribed from all future emails.
But low and behold, sitting in my inbox today was another junk email.
  • I got fed up waiting for Groupon to get back to me about the fake coupon code they gave me so I emailed Photobox direct and they credited my account with £30 the very next day. Now that's what I call service.
I am never using Groupon again. You are a shambles!

ooh I might try that!! Still not received mine either despite 3 or 4 e-mails.... what a absolute crock... I feel like I have been robbed, they were quick to debit the money and are just ignoring the fact that hundreds (thousands?) of people have not got the voucher they paid for!

It's quite amazing that they can get away with this fraud, I will never use groupon again - and I would be dissapointed if MSE was ever to give these cowboys airtime in any of the future weekly e-mails.

Interesting.... all I got from photobox was responses to contact Groupon customer services again. They called Groupon a "partner" company, but said that they could do nothing about the voucher code. They completely washed their hands of the matter.

I had a survey from Photobox about whether my customer service query was resolved to my satisfaction. I doubt they will be happy with my responses. I've also ticked the box to request further assistance, so we'll see how that goes.

So far it's Groupon, Photobox and MoneySavingExpert that have just turned their backs on this matter. Well played.

yes my response from photobox was very similar, sorry but we can do nada

Just got an email back from groupon saying this:

    Dear Groupon Customer,
Your Photobox voucher in your inbox!
We are well aware that it took some time for us to get back to you and would like to formally apologise for the delay. We have been working hard to solve the technical issues associated with the Photobox deal.
Voucher codes have now been re-sent. Please be sure to check your Spam folder before assuming that you have not received your code. If you are experiencing other issues with regards to that deal or have any further queries, please get back to us so that we may make it right as soon as possible.
Thank you for your patience and understanding and as always, please visit www.groupon.co.uk to see what exciting deal is on offer in your city today!
    Kind regards,
    The Customer Service Team

Funnily enough IT IS NOT in spam or inbox
  • I persevered with Photobox and said that I couldn't accept that they were unable to do anything about this matter. They must issue the codes in the first place, after all. They have now applied the code and credited £30 to my account.

Shortly afterwards (coincidence?), I also received an email and the voucher code from Groupon!

It shouldn't take this much effort, but at least I now appear to have a resolution.

I got that same email from Groupon the other day. Only a month late!

I bought two Groupon vouchers for a local karaoke bar for my friend's 24th birthday, a total of £38. (Not a small amount for me to spend.)

On arrival there was some trouble admitting everyone. We called the manager for assistance. He immediately told me, a paying customer, it was "tough s**t" and screamed at my (female) friend who was supposed to be on a birthday night out.

I have emailed Groupon three times in the last two weeks and have tweeted twice but had no response.

On their website they say they provide "incredible customer service". If they can't even reply to emails I find this to be a completely hilarious claim.

I am now too late to file a claim through PayPal so I'm posting here to warn others. When you buy a deal just make sure you are OK with the complete lack of after-care. If you have any problems Groupon will not respond to you or refund you. Scam.
