Groupon/Photobox £8 Voucher disappointment.

When Groupon was first introduced, I've bought a 10gbp costa voucher for 1gbp. The voucher never arrived, but eventually I got credited for 10gbp instead, so an awesome bargain (if by accident). And same thing again when they offered 5gbp for 1gbp!!!!
Personally, I won't buy any big ticket items off them- unless the deal offers a significant discount and the cost is under 10gbp.0 -
I too know people who have successfully received and used vouchers for other things from Groupon, it just feels that on this one they've gone wrong. Because it was advertised in the MSE email, maybe there is a higher expectation for things to be right.
However, I have paid my cash, and want the voucher, my photobook is created and I just want to order/pay for it. What has compounded matters is the lack of communication from the company concerned.
We shall see what today brings...0 -
So just for an update. I have called them today on their freephone number. From a rather rude customer services agent I was told that my voucher code had been registered and he was not sure why it was not delivered to me so he would have to escalate the matter. I told him there and then that I wanted a refund and did not want the voucher, to which I was informed I would need to do that in writing from the email my groupon account was registered to and to include full details about the deal.
Here is the funny bit. Asked how long it would take for them to get back in touch, he advised it normally takes 48 hours for a response but that considering the volumes of refunds being processed at the moment I should not expect a response to my refund request until Friday this week.

At first I got the dreaded email and was worried. However I have now revieved all three of the codes I have purchased.
I do hope others recieve there's as their customer services sounds awful .0 -
Phoned Groupon, and was told that vouchers will now be emailed within 48 hours instead of posted. What a shambles. Again, I would be extremely wary of using this bunch of cowboys.0

Groupon are not giving their customers, or indeed MSE the full story with this one I fear.
Bought 2 codes, deal ended. Emailed to say that i wouldn't get my codes in an email as written in their T+Cs but by other means(?)
They assured MSE that this was a fault and that everyone would get their code via email. Days passed, some got them, some didn't.
I called them this morning after being ignored via email, they were as confused as me. The guys was nice, but had no clue.
He told me that it was all a mistake and that they had changed their T+Cs BACK again (so thats 2 changes to the small print AFTER you purchase!) and said everyone had got them via email.....Alas, not me.
Money was taken, spam emails kept coming and NO CODE.
When I told him, he had no explanation and I asked for my money back. He requested this in writing, and I pointed him to my email asking for a refund, he said this was not a problem.....it'll take 5 WORKING DAYS!!!!
What a dodgy outfit these guys are.
Avoid at all costs.
I like a good deal, but I hate it when a deal goes bad and a company treat the customer like this.
Im sure most people have an ok experience with Groupon, but im not the only one who has been stuffed by them on this deal.

I have paid for this voucher but received only the e-mail to say I was successful but would not receive the voucher by e-mail. I've mailed them twice (by replying to the e-mail they sent me) and had no reply. I'd be really interested in any other contact e-mail address or phone number that anyone has for them so I can follow up - AGAIN - tomorrow and try and get a response from them. Am so annoyed about this, such a good deal, it was obviously too good to be true!0

Same here, I bought 10 & had nothing other than an e-mail to say that the coupons would arrive by other means than e-mail. Not impressed when I had the same offer e-mailed to me again on Saturday! Maybe they were just swamped with MSEers, but clearly they've not been straight with customers or MSE about the delivery of voucher codes. Am so disappointed as ordered them as presents/0

Groupon is a no no for me now. Been let down twice with offers for hair treatment, no problem to get the vouchers but no hope in hell to get a booking in the salon...I know that is out of Groupon control but they should choose and make sure that the retailer working with them on offers can face the huge increase in turnover and customer bookings. The last episode, I was offered a booking for around October!! But I must say that they were very quick at refunding the payment so not all bad.Look to me that for a lot of peoples it is not necessary to understand things in order to argue about them

There was NO PROBLEM!
Groupon took the money from my account hours after I purchased. They have my money as its taking them '5 working days' to refund it!!!
If I was someone who really wanted these vouchers I could have tried to buy them again without checking my online banking and been charged twice for vouchers that are nowhere to be seen!
oh and even after cancelling my subcription for email alerts from them TWICE, still the junk comes.
