I got an email today saying the coupon would arrive by other means rather than by email. I don't understand why some folks are getting their coupons emailed.

    Another day, still no code.
I did however recieve numerous other offer emails, one for laser hair removal! Thanks Groupon, but im pulling my own hair out thanks to you!!

Seriously, this is strange. Some people are getting them, some aren't.
Its not an 'email' problem, as ive said im still getting offers through from them, just not the offer ive paid for and they promised.

A note to anyone thinking of buying any remainding offers, just be prepared for problems.
I think the original offer Martin mentioned said that you could get your money back within 7 days, lets give that a try.
  • Got the same email then an hour later got email with code... How strange

For those who just wanted a photobook, you can get one for the price of shipping (3.99). The details are here, but note the website in the original link seems to have changed, you go to bootsphoto.com/freebook for details.

Basically all you have to do is place an order at Boots for anything (I got handsoap for about 59p, others order paracetemol for 16p) and have it delivered to your local Boots for free. In the box with your delivery is a coupon with a code for a free photobook for new customers to Boots photo (you can create a new email addy somewhere and sign up again if you already have an account). The coupon expires 30 September.

I've had no voucher yet on this offer!

I'm currently abroad and awaiting arrival of the email that was promised. It's now Saturday 10:30am UK time and all I'm getting are spam offers for London when I registered for a different region.

Is this a scam? I thought this weekly email was legitimate.

"So there is no need to worry, I can confirm that the Photobox vouchers will be sent out at 2pm (or before), as agreed. They shall arrive via email."

Any clue as to 2pm on what day????? I'm not at all impressed. :(

To add insult to injury, I've received an email from Groupon with THE SAME £8 OFFER!!!
Does this mean they didn't really get enough subscribers??
  • Hi everyone,

It is now Saturday 11:15am and ive still not had any code through from Groupon.
I have seen they have changed their fine print now also, there is no mention about an email code being sent.

So to clarify, I pay them £16 for two vouchers after reading their offer and fine print....then groupon change their mind, decide to send codes via other means and inform me of this.
They contact MSE to ask customers not to worry but the codes will be sent vis email at the pre arranged time of 2pm.
THEN some people get their code, some do not.
THEN they change their terms and conditions.
They have my money, and I have nothing in return, only uncertainty.

    Is this even legal!??!
Seriously, this offer and this company needs to be taken off of this site and never used again.

For those who have their codes, its great, for those in the dark, it stinks.

    A very unhappy 'moneysaver'.

Boots stopped this offer a while ago
  • I too am still waiting for the code. I need to order my photobook this weekend due to the printing timescales, so thought this offer was perfect. But I got the email to say it was successful and would be sent by other means early yesterday morning, saw the statement added by MSE so thought ok, fair wnough. Didn't receive anything so emailed Groupon and got an automated response saying thankyou and they would respond ASAP . Currently have no coupon code and no reply.

Feeling a bit :( about this.

Then surely MSE need to stop sending moneysavers their way?!
Don't get me wrong, im addicted to MSE, and this is the only time ive come unstuck, but these companies also need to be warned about and especially not promoted!
