Will not use Groupon after this photo book fiasco, got my photo books in the end albeit the first set had to be sent back due to photobox putting the wrong covers on them, but did'nt appreciate having to chase Groupon to rectify the initial problem.

They also keep sending me e-mails even though I have subscribed numerous time.
  • Groupon is a scam. They sell vouchers, the businesses don't honour the vouchers then when you email Groupon they don't respond.

I bought a voucher for Woolton Picture House but when I tried to use it the cinema wouldn't honour the voucher. There is no small print with restrictions on the voucher. It clearly states the voucher can be used 7 days a week. It clearly states 'just choose a film, a friend and a date to go'. When I tried to see Harry Potter I was told I couldn't use the voucher to see that film and the voucher expires by the time a new film is on.
  • Hi guys,

I am very disappointed too and experienced the same as you guys did...no voucher delivery on time, not really a help from customer service, nothing that we can count on..once the money is out, nothing comes back in ...
but who knows more of the groupon sites? at least this company has some kind of a media coverage that makes people believe they are the only one...

do you have any other suggestionS? i must admit that the deals are very attractive... it is a young company , a lot to learn still...

I've bought a lot of deals, and had no problems with any of them.Varied from scuba, horseriding ,snowboarding,(teenagers gifts) and local farm visit deals to car valeting and skin treatments(local companies that I could check reviews).I've saved a lot ,but check out the offers first.Hope you have more luck next time.:o
  • I never got my lovefilm voucher from them, finally got a refund only thanks to paypal

  • I've used Groupon twice and had 2 bad experiences. First was a tooth whitening deal where the clinic shut down and went out of business. They offered an alternative I dsidn't want. After 1 1/2 months I got a refund for £18 instead of £36, then finally got a full refund. Second was a spa day at a local hotel. Bought 3 deals for me and 2 mates. They sold over 1000 deals (ridiculous as it isn't a massive hotel). Kept phoning for a week to book and either got my calls ignored by the hotel or booted back to reception. Finally got sick and demanded my money back under the 7-day clause. I'm surprised anyone wants to be their partner as it has ruined my opinion of the hotel, too.
