we pay 600 per month rent for a three bed semi in south east coucill tax is 138.00 per month but the people next door pay 320 per month for the same house as their is councill owend still and our is privately rented

We've been mortgage-free on our family home for several years, so can't give a meaningful figure on that, but the council tax is £85 pcm for ten months. (West Midlands, north of Birmingham).

I pay £520pm mortgage (interest only) and make overpayments of £100pm (therefore £620pm in total).
Council tax is £77pm (with 25% single persons discount)
This is for a shoe-boxesque 1 bed flat in south London
