How much do you pay towards your rent/mortgage?

Hi all,
After reading Earwig's very interesting thread about how much DFW's earn, can I ask the question how much do you pay monthly on your rent or mortgage? I constantly feel like I pay too much rent so it would be interesting to hear how much you all pay!
I'll start it off.... my OH and I pay £675 rent per month plus £100 council tax and we live in Oxfordshire in a two bed flat.

My mortgage is £606 per month including house insurance. For a 3 bed ex council house about 6 miles outside Birmingham.
However, I have two lodgers in each paying me £260 per month including bills so it reduces my costs by a fair but. It also means I can share the washing up!0 -
Our mortgage is almost double what the OP pays. Likewise our debt is higher than most.
But it's all about affordability. My husband and I are very fortunate to have higher than average earnings and our mortgage payments and debt repayments as a percentage of our take-home pay are on a par with a lot of other people here.
OP I wouldn't worry about paying too much for rent unless you are running short each month and not making the payments. If the place suits you and your budget then what's the problem?I am a Travel Agent My company’s ATOL/ABTA numbers are E7760/3970. Our rent is £750 per month, private renting..other half looks after council tax but I know its over £100 a month (robbing gits!).
We could live somewhere cheaper but I would rather pay more money and live in a good area then save a couple of hundred pounds and live in a hell hole!
Life is sometimes a bit pants but occasionally you can wear your french knickers!0 -
i thought my rent was really expensive but looking on here its probably the cheapest £260 per month 4 a 2 bed semi detached house 1 mile from town (i am trying to catch up at mo though after working a month in arrears so paying £300 per month) -no benefits. £125 per month c/tax.official dfw nerd club member no 214
