    Oh yeah.

We live in an unadopted road, no tarmac or road repairs, there is no street lighting in the village at all, the local roads are all pot-holes, there is certainly no street cleaning and as for police, the nearest station is miles away. If you call the coppers they take ages to arrive. I know, I tried it when I saw blokes breaking in next door. By the time the cop car arrived they were long gone.
  • Judging by the responses its obvious so many people are paying over the odds for their rent and mortgage! Especially when you compare it to how much people are earning a month. I think about 33% of my wages goes on rent and council tax - can that really be fair? And there is no way I can get a mortgage at the moment so its just dead money. The government really need to do something about high house prices - and fast! (Sorry for my little rant!)

    You are right.

Around here, young people stand NO chance of buying a house, about the very cheapest one bed flat cost well over £100,000 and a house, well, you are talking about at least £150,000.

    How can youngsters afford that?

And at the same time this Government is demolishing perfectly good houses in the North as it reckons no-one wants to live there. If it took steps to move businesses and especially government departments (as they now employ so many people) up North, that would encourage poeple to move up there where they could afford to live and where there is space, and also stop concreting over the South with ludicrously expensive houses.

Sorry I am REALLY ranting. :o:o
