that made me laugh! i know ebay fees may seem a lot, but i think where else can we get that kind of exposure and advertising for much less? i do think it is worth it. i always keep 20% of the sale price back to cover my selling costs.
congrats on the pushchair sale - so pleased for you. i came back from hols to some nice sales, £62 in total.0 -

I totally agree firesidemaid - there is nowhere else you can get the same prominence for things you have to sell - it is so worth it."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Right,I need to update my signature. The cc has taken a hit this month:o but I will get back on track.
My paypal transfer will pay off the Next card which is currently around £100(next statement due any day)
I still haven't been paid for the job I finished the other week, so that needs to go towards the cc this month. and I want to not put anything on the cc this month. I WON'T PUT ANYTHING ON IT!!!
I still haven't put more things on ebay:wall: but I will do that soon.0 -
Signature has been changed:o They're not exact amounts but accurate to the nearest £10, which lets face it makes littel difference on these amounts:rotfl: gotta laugh about it or i'll cry!!!0

I feel I need an action plan, so I have come up with:
1) meal plan and shop wisely this month. With the aim of not putting anything on the cc
2) Put more things on ebay
3) Do my tax return and claim back NI payments made as i'm under the small earnings limit by a long way!
4) Do as much overtime as I can
5) Try and buy christmas presents cheaply or make things. I need to plan these out.
6) another(final) self employed job is coming my way in 2/3 weeks. Get this done asap and billed.
I will pay off the Next account this month, I only ever buy from Next in their sales so I won't put anything ellse on it in the foreseeable future.
My birthday is at the end of the month so I need to come up with something my Dad can buy me that's useful, or I might ask for Next vouchers rather than money. Money will get swallowed up in food shopping rather than for something for me!!0 -
Good luck with the action plan list, there's a lot that can help you there! I hope you get paid soon for the work you've done, that must be annoying waiting for people to pay up.
Good luck with the ebay sales, I need to get some more on there too."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Thanks jwil, I need to conentrate on getting more money in as I can't reduce outgoings.
I keep dreaming of my debt free time, I will have so much spare money, according to the spreadsheets!!
One day. One day.
But for now I need to get on with my action plan.
I will also be trying to come up with a plan each day as although there's debt busting/upping income to be done, there's also normal life, not to mention 2 children to be entertained!
So todays plan;
1) sort the washing up, tidy kitchen.
2) do some washing(where does it all come from? I think it breeds!)
3) do the payroll for my 2nd job and place the order they need
4) write some letters for the PTA asking for donations for their christmas bazaar(why do I volunteer myself for these jobs?!)
5) put the clean clothes away
6) do an online shop as the cupboards are bare
7) put some things on ebay
I think that's plenty!! Hopefully dh will be entertainer for the day:rotfl:0 -
I just got sent my Next statement and it's £148 not £100:mad: POOP!
I still plan to clear it this month, I want one less thing to think about!!
The overtime/ebay sales for the moment will go on christmas(hope to keep this as low as poss, dc mostly done so only other people to buy for or make) and after christmas is sorted the moeny will go against the o/d's. I want to feel like I have some money and would love o/d2 to be in the red by the end of the year, so I need to raise £450 to clear that
Easy:cool:

Boo to the Next statement, it will be good when it's gone though.
I've set myself a target of raising £1500 in November which means selling 500 items. Maybe we can encourage each other."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0
