  • I've given up trying to find the log-in details and have requested another set. I hate losing things, they normally turn up but in this case I need to do it asap, I bet I find them now :D

I am really enjoying my week off so far. Had a million emails from j!!!, not sure why i'm checking them but I have told the manager i'm NOT working this week. It's a term time only job !!!!!!. <<sigh>> DS' bday tomorrow and I think i'm more excited than he is:D Then MOT on friday, not looking forward to that! But saturday is my friends hen do so that's exciting! Then dc have parties on sunday so it's all good. DH has a time trial tomorrow night (he's just started doing them, did his first last week, 10miles on a bike and he did it in 31mins19s!) He's also doing 'tour of the weald' on Sunday, something like 56miles, he's totally mad if you ask me!!

oo and I was very MSE when I bought what I hope is the dress for my friends wedding (you may remember me buying one off ebay a while ago but that's never gonna fit! will try to diet for my other friends wedding in July) I found it on Tesco and have used clubcard vouchers:rotfl: Let's hope it fits and looks nice. I also got another dress in the sale which I hope might be ok for the hen do. Will report back when they arrive! I only actually paid for postage, £4 so I don't think that's too bad really if they do both fit.
  • I logged into my online bank this morning to see a cc bal of £910 <<ahhhh>> so nice looking at it! I am of course ignoring the fact that all that's happened is trf to a loan and another cc but hey let me pretend for today that it is down that low:rotfl: Tomorrow I will get back to reality!

Car is being MOT'd today <<gulp>> In fact it was at 8.30, but is being serviced too so waiting to hear from dh's uncle who's doing it. will keep my fingers crossed!

I checked when dh's bike ride starts on sunday to find that the dope has got the wrong week and it's on Easter sunday:rotfl: means I can not worry about having to drive him there and can really enjoy my friends hen do on sat now.

Kids have parties on sunday so that's entertainment for them sorted. and is free apart from pressies.
  • so today I had my review at work. and I finally got told I will get me extra hours from October.

I'm very happy!! I also got an extra weeks holiday as I have been there for a million years, ok it's ten years but that's long enough!! so I now have 5 weeks holiday to use, which is nice.

DH is in line for a possible promotion too. It will hopefully mena a payrise for him (he's over paid in his current position so may be notional payrise) but if he does get the job we'll need a 2nd car, which will wipe out all of any rise he gets. unless it's a huge payrise:rotfl: But he needs to get on at work and this will hopefully be a stepping stone to a higher job. He's currently a salesman, hoping to become an assistant manager and eventually on to manager.

    All good really.

Plus I have the rest of the week off, no work til Tues, well in Job 1, have to do some work for job 2 or no-one will get paid, and i'm not sure they'll be too happy about that!

  • it's been 6 months since I last logged on here :o

Lots has changed, sadly not the debt but hey it hasn't gone up, so that's good. Now is the time to start getting rid of it as all change on the job front. Those hours I had said I was going to do, I am doing, first pay for the new hours this month and dh got his promotion :T although the payrise had to go on a new car but nevermind. It's nice to have 2 cars, gives us much more freedom.

I feel the need to re-do my SOA so I will do that now and re-post. Be nice to see where it's changed and see if I can do anything with regard to making it better.

I still want to pay everything off by June 2012 so need to see if that possible or a pipe dream. Dec 2012 maybe a more realistic target.
  • Hello dairy, me again:)

DFD aim has now changed to Dec 2012, seem to be on track, although spreadsheet does say i'd have a bit of an O/d left.

But a few things have changed since I last posted. We have paid the last payment on our fixed rate mortgage. We've gone from 5.29% to 2.5% interest which actually only reduces the payment by £115 a month but hey that's pretty good

So, next month is council tax free month AND £115 less-mortgage which altogther adds up to £250:j straight to some debt or other, as yet undecided location!

I am currently working silly hours and have decided I will give up job 2 as of 31st Aug this year (job in pre-school so this is end of school year) am hoping job 1 may have a bit of overtime at that time of year as my colleague is off on maternity leave from 30th June and we will have far too much work:eek: but may help with the afformentioned O/D that will still remain in Dec 2012 at the current rate of repayments.

My last post said I would re-do my SOA but i'm not going to, I have a spreadsheet and the only places I can cut back are groceries (i'm always rying to cut back) and various insurances which I already have plans to look at when they come up for renewal, I think they're all March/April renewals so not far off.

Oh and another thing i'm doing at the moment is entering competitions to see if I can win something good:D

The last thing I want to say is that when I started this diary I was VERY down and unhappy but I am so happy at the moment. Things are most definitely on the up and I can see an end, which I couldn't before. I had a fairly major op in August on my ear, which has all settled down now, although they are fairly certain I will need 2 more ops, one on each ear, at some point in the future. My hearing isn't great but I have lived for the past 4ish years thinking it was just normal hearing loss when I actually had a serious problem. So, now that is being sorted and money is getting there I am in a good place. I just need some more hours back, hence giving up job 2! At the moment I work 25hrs in job 1 and 8 in Job 2 each week as well as ferrying 2 kids everywhere and keeping the house. It's too much. But I have an end in sight and I have looked at giving up now but it doesn't make sense moneywise so I will dig in and keep going. 6 months and counting:j
