My ebay sales are not going particularly well at the moment either. Maybe there'll be a flurry of last minute bids!

  • Good luck FSM, major listing going on in your house! I'm thinking I might try some of mine on BIN's. I have always used auctions before but might test the BIN waters with some of the brand new toys i've got kicking around.

HWG/JWil fingers crossed our ebay things pick up. Mine start ending in 20mins or so. the first item that finishes is doing well but none of the others are. Will be back in about an hour to report on the final outcome

One of my items has 5 watchers already but we know that means nothing anymore. Good luck

  • I made £53 plus postage, 7 items sold and 3 didn't.

I've got loads left to put on but I think I'll give BIN a go. If things don't sell I can relist as an auction.

We were thinking of listing some more things tonight, but if we're gonna give BIN a go it won't really matter when things end. So we're watching a film instead

Well done on sales, it's hard and boring listing them but when the money rolls in it's great

  • well done on your sales!

i have managed to get 15 things listed (altho each listing has more than one item), all new items ideal for xmas pressies, all on BIN.

I like the BIN option for a few reasons - you can try/start things at higher prices (especially around xmas on new items) for a while or start high with a best offer option.

Also, as you say once they are listed they can be purchased at any time. it's quite fun getting up every morning and seeing if anything has sold.

Altho, i once after a long day/night listing (where when it was getting late i didn't bother to check current 'selling' prices on advanced search), woke up to find i had sold all 6 of one item to the same buyer.

which was great, but i immediately realised i had priced it too low;). fortunately i had only listed 6 of the about 20 items that i had:D.

i work full-time but do ebay as a second income as and when i can - i buy up new items all during the year to concentrate on selling during the lucrative xmas buying period. i love ebay!

Well done on the ebay sales! I sold 14 items so was pleased with that in the end.

  • I just had a call from my cc company asking if i'd received their recent correspondence. When I ask what correspondence that was they said in order to tell me they'd have to confirm my card details, so I said I wasn't prepared to do that. She then said I could call my cc company or call into a branch to find out why they were calling.

Is it me or is this a little odd? I mean I have had a letter recently, regarding the change of conditions but if that's why she was callng then surely she wouldn't need to confirm my details?

Anyway I refused to tell her anything. I just said you are advised not to and since she had called me I wouldn't be telling her any of my details.

I think i'm a bit panicky maybe as we reached the limit last month and exceeded it by £5 because of the interest. It is now under the limit again as I made a payment and won't us it this month so when they add interest it should be under the limit from now on, does that make sense.

I really hate this debt:( I wish it would just disappear:(
  • I've just packaged up all my ebay parcels. One person hasn't paid yet so that is still in the box. I will try and post them tomorrow. I might not do them all, but then again they have to be posted so I may aswell... I'll see what the queue looks like when I get there!! I have £35.90 in postage (this is the amount I charged on ebay) but I hope they won't cost that much to actually post.

We haven't put anymore onto ebay yet and to be honest i'm feeling tired tonight. Probably the result of 2 children climbing into bed with us last night and me waking at around 3 with the worst stomach pain ever. Not sure what it was but I had some water and a paracetamol and it went away after about 20mins but broken sleep isn't good. Once the pain went I put one child back into their own bed but my dd is too heavy now when she's asleep so I left her :o I must've made dh stir though as he took her back in the end!!

I feel like I lost a week last week with being ill. I had lots of work to catch up on this morning for my 2nd job so i've spent all day doing that. I also owe my 1st job 10 hours from when ds was ill before half term:( and I need to get that done asap. So much for overtime:rotfl:

I have 2 committee meetings this week(tues & thurs) so won't get much done then. I'll try to get some work done on wed night. Then we have a party friday and i'm supposed to be going out with friends on sat, although I don't have the money:(

Any news on the cc that called you ? I would be surprised if they called because of £5 they usually just take the money and keep quiet
